Beautiful place to stop and enjoy the view of the coastline. It has a green lawn with benches to relax on and small signs with history about the house itself.

This used to be the summer house for Queen Maria Christina, and one can see why the site was chosen. It has not been given to the town. You get such a fantastic view of the bay and San Sebastián from the Miramar palace. Really...More

The Miramar Palace was closed when we walking past, but there was plenty of English language info. on the history, plus lovely gardens to walk around, so it was still a pleasant spot to linger for a while.

You usually can't go inside but the exterior is gorgeous with beautiful formal gardens overlooking the sea with breathtaking views of the beaches. Lovely for a quiet retreat or picnic lunch on the lawn overlooking the sea.

the palace is a 10-15 min walk from the beginning of la concha beach. it was closed when we visited, but we walked around the house and the gardens which were very nice.i imagine it is probably beautiful inside, considering it was the queen regents house

There is a rather large sign for Miramar along the beach front, it is only a few euros to enter, it is a beautiful place.

What an outstanding location of this Royal English style summer house - in the middle of San Sebastian bay, with direct views of both hills on its sides and Santa Clara island. Nice manicured gardens and lawns in front and at the back, free to...More

From the outside and at a distance the place looks great. But with no access inside and on closer inspection it is in need of some refurbishment and is somewhat disappointing. A great location, attractive gardens and a good photo opportunity. But anything more than...More

Can you go directly to the Palace? Maybe they can do something if you are there in person.

Any suggestions for making the most of a full day in SS would be most welcome. We are arriving by bus from Bilbao - firstly where is the best place to get off the bus? The places we would like to visit are listed below and I would appreciate some help in the best route to see them in. As we only have a day, we are trying to avoid getting lost or back tracking!
