the gardens were poor, may be because it was cold. We parked behind the Palacio, and walked into the garden. I guess in summer it may be nicer with more flowers.

On my walk along La Concha beach yesterday, during my one month stay in San Sebastian, I walked up to the Miramar Palace. It's easy to spot because of it is English architecture and sits high on the hill and overlooks La Concha beach. There is a tunnel for cars and a tunnel for walking very close by. You can reach it walking from the promenade along La Concha too. You can also ride your rental bike there.

It was built for royals and used by Queen Isabella II and Queen Maria Christina who entertained many European royals and were responsible for putting San Sebastian on the map and making it as beautiful as it is today. The views are spectacular from here but they are from many places in San Sebastian. The palace has been purchased by the city. I tried desperately to enter but had no luck. It is a music school now and apparently you have to be a student to enter. I do not know if any of the royals possessions still remain or if it has been totally converted to a music school.

The gardens are lovely and well maintained. You can walk or ride there and take yourself a packed lunch and simply enjoy the panoramic view of the city. There are many beautiful places in San Sebastian and this is just one of many. A special trek doesn't really have to be made because you can see it from the beach and you cannot enter anyway so there's no real point to make a special visit.

Great views- you can see why the Queen Marie Christina chose it as a site for her summer palace. Very good information boards give all you might want to know.

Free gardens to walk around with stunning views over the beaches. The palace itself is not open to the public, but well worth a pleasant half our sat watching the views.

There was so much to see with the stunning views of the ocean and the well manicured property. It was such a treat and would recommend it if you have the chance to come by.

The park was ok, but it took too much time to walk there. When I decided to go back using buses, I had to wait for one hour without seeing any. It was rainy and stormy as well. Terrible experience. One more star from terrible just for the architecture.

I never get tired of visiting the Miramar Palace. Its architecture is quite different and calls attention. The gardens with the flowers add to its beauty. The views of the beaches from the gardens are great.

The former summer residence of Queen Maria Christina is a beautiful building in the English country house style. We were unable to see the inside but the main point of the visit is to admire the gardens and the beautiful views onto La Concha beach and the sea. There are benches to sit on and some people had brought picnics. It's a pleasant place to spend a little time relaxing and taking in the view.
