Our visit to Buen Pastor Cathedral was met with a touch of disappointment as we discovered it was closed during our exploration of the city. However, even from the outside, this cathedral managed to leave a lasting impression. Just standing in the presence of this magnificent structure provided a sense of awe and reverence. It's a perfect spot for some photographs and a moment of reflection.

While I wish we could have stepped inside to witness the cathedral's inner beauty, the experience of seeing it from the outside was still worthwhile. If you're in the area, I would recommend a visit to Buen Pastor Cathedral, even if it's just to appreciate its remarkable exterior.

Neo-Gothic cathedral of astonishing verticality, our visit was conducted by the guide Teresa, specified that the sandstone with which it was built, the stalls, was extracted from Mount Igueldo. Internally I liked the stained glass windows, the massive columns, the work is by the Basque architect De Echave and covers almost two thousand square meters. Free entry, you will surely like the suggestions of the verticality and reflections of colored light of the windows.

Recently built cathedral (late 19th century). Neogothic style. Its view from the beginning of the street is spectacular. It is located between La Concha beach and the Urumea river. It's worth a visit.

Quiet space for start of the day. Stark interior after grandeur and gold of churches to the south. Some interesting statues and a humorous addition to the model of the Cathedral in a side chapel!

I attended mass several times at this majestic cathedral and loved feeling a part of the locals. The cathedral’s history is impeccable, and stained glass windows and beautiful side altars well worth he visit.

This Cathedral dominates the city's skyline. It's name means The Good Shepard - referring to Jesus Christ. It has a Neo-Gothic style and it's building had started in 1888. The bell tower resembles the one in Cologne. There is stained windows and one of the biggest organs in Europe. It is calm and cool comparing to the busing crowded streets in nearby Parte Vieja. I recommend a visit to this holy place even if you are not religious to have a break from the noise outside and have a peaceful moment to recollect your thoughts.

Worth a ten minute detour off the beach and old town. The Church was built relatively recently and has nice light coming in through the stained glass windows.

Peaceful and calm, away from all the noise and bustle of San Sebastian. Worth the detour inside the cathedral to admire the stained glass windows, art & sculptures & absorb the calm atmosphere.

This is a beautiful structure in a beautiful position in the beautiful town of San Sebastian - Donostia, Spain. It is centered at the end of the main street (walking only, like Venice) of the Old Town of San Sebastian. Every night, people from all over the world sit on the front steps and drink beer or cocktails from the bars and restaurants lining the street. I am not normally a very social person but I had a wonderful time talking with people from Sweden, Argentina, Russia, Poland and even Canada. The people are young and old and everything in between.
