lovely beach with plenty of bins for poo bags! Could only find a couple of cafes nearby but unfortunately none of them [that we found] allowed dogs inside

I have sunbathed, relaxed, and swum in the warm waters of Ondarreta Beach on countless occasions. It is clean, the people are friendly, and it remains one of my favorite beaches in the world.

Lovely beach and well worth a visit. Still hard to get my head around the fact the beach is in the city. Clean sand and very clear water. Unfortunately we drove over an hour to go to these beaches in San Sebastian after reading from other reviewers that dogs were allowed on the beaches. They aren't! Not on any. And unlike some other beaches in southern France where this rule is often broken and people turn a blind eye, we didn't see a single dog on any of the 3 beaches and we weren't going to risk it as the local Police were sniffing around (along with the traffic wardens who were arranging for cars to be towed!). I have read about dogs running free on La Concha beach and was really looking forward to finally being able to let our pooch off a lead as she loves the sand. However, the signs on every beach clearly show 'no dogs'. Not sure about other people's experiences. Maybe we were just unlucky but we were not going to risk it and get fined by the scary Policia!

Clear, calm(ish) waters. Clean, soft sand. This beach (at the other side of the bay to the old town, and by the furnicular) is a nice beach indeed.

In the central section of the beach is a playground on the sand, and there was also a temporary swimming pool, kids pool, table tennis tables and kids toys section on the beach too...but there's also plenty of room on the beach away from all this stuff too.

Smaller of the boats beaches but still a lovely beach. Very busy but still room to move. Beach bars and chairs available.

Perfect spot to sunbathe and watch the world go by. Lovely little beach cafe serving drinks and snacks. If you are a decent swimmer there's the challenge of a swim to the island!

We arrived on this beach on a cloudy day after visiting Mount Igueldo and I was sorry that this wasn’t my first choice for the first days spent in San Sebastián.
The beach is not as crowded as La Concha, it has bars and restaurants near, a small park and lots of cheap parking places can be found around 55 cents per hour. On the opposite is La Concha where you need to park in an underground parking lot where I paid around 2.5€ per hour.
The water is nice and warm, small waves, ideal for a swim.

The beach is picturesque, relatively big, good for swimming since the bay is protected, several swimming platforms can be reached in the bay, charming blue and white striped canvas beach huts, has all facilities and is in summer totally crowded.
