Ondarreta is the best beach in San Sebastián with a half moon shape that makes it an extremely beautiful frontage to the town. Walking on either the beach or on the esplanade is a pleasant way to take in the atmosphere.

The less 'famous' of the two beaches but clean and it was fun watching the surfers in the sea. Didn't see any option to hire sunbeds but that could just be in season

the beach wanders around beautiful rock formations but it has a long stretch of beach for swimming with a low water line for easy swimming.

Basically wonderful place to stay too, The landmark absolutely wonderful. The same as concha beach. Also here can be very busy.

I find ondarrera marvelous because you have to consider its a "city-beach". Chose this beach cause La Concha the was pretty crowded and because I wanted to visit the island indent of the beach by swimming. It has toilets, towels rentals, umbrellas rentals and all this just walking a couple of minutes from your place. Gorgeous beach. 100% recommended.

The beach is cleaned every morning by a team of workers. There are clean WCs, snack bars, showers and beach tents for hire. At night the view from the beach is spectacular.

Today less wawes than concha. Both beaches have the same services. Shadowroofs, chairs, kayaks, sup, snackbar and shower. Here also a little kidpark. So maybe best for families with small kids. Also less distance to the water when low tide.

Located between Monte Igueldo and La Concha is a quiet beach to enjoy for families. Also a paradise for surfers and with a very pretty view of the Bay

Ondaretta Beach is much quieter than La Concha, and much more geared towards families. However, first day we were there, the tide was nearly in and the beach was very pebbly and not very user-friendly. A couple of days later, tide was out when we went down and there was a huge expanse of soft sand! Choose your visit carefully!!

Following some reviews about this place, we visited Ondarreta beach with our kids. As people said, this beach is suitable for little children. The sand is soft, the wave is not strong and some birds are there playing around. We will come back if we have time.
