It might seem at first glance that La Concha is one long beach but it is in fact split into two with Ondaretta being the other, further away from the city centre. For the season it is often much quieter and there is a fair bit of street parking available.

The best beach of San Sebastian, but still inadequate, small and very overcrowded. There is some surfing coming in past the island to the extreme left side, depending on the weather.

A fab place to get fresh air, walk your dog, surf, and generally enjoy the outdoors. Lovely promenade above to walk on with bars and restaurants close by. A place to visit all year round. Many surfers when we were there but also lots of swimmers without wetsuits on. Brave!

It was a brisk but beautifully blue day and there were still plenty of people (and dogs) enjoying the beach. Wide, with white sand and gentle waves, Zurriola is a perfect place to stroll, read or play. The promenade above has parks and benches, bars and restaurants and La Perla spa.

Lots of nice sand and is a very easy walk. The water is clean and good for swimming. Nice on a sunny day!

A great beach both for swimmers and (at one end) surfers. Coming from Ireland (where the sea never really warmed up this summer) the 18 degree water seemed heavenly even in October, and the surroundings beautiful for a city beach.

Quiet beach with sweeping vista of Monte Igeldo and Monte Urgull, with closer view of Isla Santa Clara. Nice walk on the strand that goes around the Bahia de la Concha.

The breakwater and set angles make this a three phase wave beach especially in the fall winter months. Boogie boards rule the north end and the rest will have 20-50 boards trying to get a quick ride. Very confused sets though and it can be a long time between rides. Saw Taylor Hawkins after their repeat London trip (or his... More
