Displays in various languages, a good place to while away a few hours especially kids up to 12-14 and if raining. Not easy to find by car, as its in a business park on the edge of town. Wasn't overly expensive and the cafe was very good with a great priced menu del dia.

Was a great way to spend a rainy day. Lots of interaction and plenty to keep us occupied for a good hour. Took a cab there and then had to find the bus back to town.

We took our kids here on a cold, though sunny, winters day. The museum is well laid out with all the explanations in Basque, Spanish, French, and English. There are so many things to do for the kids and at least 90% of the exhibits are basic experiments for the kids (and kids at heart) to try. The staff is... More

so many thing to see and to do, it's very interesting for the whole family. We spent there half day, and it was n't enough! You'll enjoy. Also available a restaurant so you can make a brake and to take some energy before you continue with other activities and experiments!

We had a blast at this museum during a windy and very rainy day in June. It's easy to take a public bus out to the museum, and they have a fabulous restaurant on site -- a perfect option for lunch! The museum has lots of different rooms with hands-on exhibits, plus you can pay extra for special fun stuff... More

For us this was a great escape from the really hot sun. We had spent the morning on the beach and were looking for something a bit fun to do. This fitted the bill perfectly. We are a family, with adventurous kids (10 & 6) and the hands on style of this museum fits us down to the ground. Going... More

This hands-on science and technology museum has a good (and working!) selection of various experimental apparatuses and objects. Most of them are illustrated AND explained in four languages (Spanish, Basque, English, and French) and are suitable for children aged from four years on, we would say, and is not limited to 99 agers :-) There are also some “chemical-physical” experiments... Excellent museum. My boys ages 6 and 8 loved it. We were there 3 hours- could have been much more. My 8 year old loved the "simulations" but my 6 year old was crying on the roller coaster. The restaurant food was disgusting, expensive with horrible service. Stick with the ice cream.

This visit we visited the Volta exhibit where you get to see a real Tesla coil firing lightning and making zapping noises. It never ceases to amaze me the variety and quality of things to do in San Sebastian ( it has less than 200.000 inhabitants) . They have a pretty decently price menu del dia also in the cafeteria.
