The facility starts with the history of how the port developed, like a little history museum. You will see various kind of fish. We've got a little discount by telling the hotel that we are visiting the aquarium. The hotel gave us a stamped brochure which you need to give it at the ticket counter. Nice for small children, they... More

This aquarium has lots of historical exhibits about how people have used the resources of the sea in this area for hundreds of years, in addition to the sea life you expect to see at an aquarium. Kids will especially love walking through the tube and seeing big sharks swimming over their heads. We were there just after Christmas, and... More

I came here with a friend and it took us about 1 1/2 hours to go through, I would allow more time if you like to read through all the history. This aquarium is good for all ages as it has a lot of history about the fishing industry before you walk through and see the fish. It was a... More

It's very well laid out. You need to pass through displays showing information about the regions history in order to get to the fish tanks! You can't help but learn about the region. The display of the whale skeleton was amazing. The fish tanks are well organised with information in Basque, Spanish, French and English. There are benches available for... More

I have visited many aquariums and I would rank this one among the best. They offer tremendous historical and cultural context and the collection is terrific. Find the time to fit this in.

The aquarium is a must to visit if you are interested in diving and see life. It takes about an hour or hour and half. Just follow the arrows. Every part is interesting but the best part is the tunnel with sharks and different fish kinds are wondering at your side and above you. The ticket is 13 euros. Very... More

Fun place to visit for all ages. You start with history and work your way to actual fish tanks. Huge middle tank with rays, sharks, turtles, eels, amongst other fish. There is a tunnel where they swim above and below you. Definitely a good place to visit
