Your first taste of txakoli, the sight of a bar filled with tapas, the smell of fresh olive oil being pressed, the feel of thinly sliced jamon iberico between your fingers...your senses are sharper at the source. We believe travel should be unique and personal, but most of all, it should be authentic. Explore a culture through its food and drink, its producers and chefs and the love and "mimo" they put into all their creations. Since we were founded in San Sebastian, Spain, in 2009, we strive to bring the mimo to visitors who want to immerse themselves in local food culture. Live the Mimo experience on our culinary tours, at our gourmet shops in San Sebastian (San Sebastian Food) and Sevilla (Mimo Sevilla), as well as in our luxury cooking school located in the Hotel Maria Cristina in the centre of San Sebastian. Our team of locals is passionate about sharing their culture, offering a taste of its delicious dishes, and welcoming you into the Mimo family.

We had a great time on the pintxo tour in San Sebastián. It was a full experience as we got to visit six pintxo bars (lots of food and drinks!). Our guide, Iñigo, was very informative about the food, wine, and history of the places...More

We had an amazing time on this Pintxo Tour with Almudena! She was a great guide who took us on a tour around the city and shared her experiences and incredible love for her hometown. Most importantly, the Pintxos bars that she took us too...More

If you are looking for a pintxo tour, look no further than Mimo! We were fortunate to have Veronica, a San Sebastian native, as our host for the evening. Having parents that once owned a local restaurant, Veronica grew up in the food industry and...More

We were so excited about booking this Pintxo tour that I started to wonder if it would be as great as the reviews....and I'm happy to say that it surpassed what we imagined! We met our guide for the evening, Asunta, and immediately we knew...More

Cannot fault my experience with Mimo in San Sebastian. I did two food tours one with Veronica and one with Ellie plus a cooking course with Migel. The way they operate is not like your typical tour company- elegant, stylish and welcoming, making me feel...More

We had a excellent tour with Verónica. She was very knowledgeable and great company. The wines and pintxos she chose were excellent. The tour is well worth doing and great value.

We have been to San Sebastián twice and have done the food tour. Both times Ellie has taken us on the tour, she is very knowledgeable, helpful, interesting and funny. Doing the tour helps you learn lots about the area and the local food.

This was one of the most fun things we did in San Sebastian. The chef and his assistant made the class entertaining and highly relatable to me — someone who does not cook much. My wife, who is a great cook, loved every minute of...More

We made our reservation a month before vacation, and arrived in San Sebastian 4 days before we took the tour. So we had already been to a number of Pintxos bars and we wondered "do we really need to take this tour"? The answer was...More

We almost skipped this, to save our splurge for a fancy restaurant. I’m so so so grateful that at the last minute we had the opportunity to join. What a treat!! First of all, it was recommended by a friend from home who is an...More

The pace of the tour was leisurely and the restaurants/bars were pretty close to each other. It was a great tour!

I’m not certain. You’re best bet is to contact them directly. I eat a vegetarian diet when at home, but when traveling I’ve been including fish. My sense is, given that most pinxos are seafood or meat, that you’d have fewer... More

I am sure that it is not recommended for children; tour is directed to adults and mature mind teens interested in regional history and evolution of Basque Country .
