- DeekneeBilbao, Spain86 contributionsThe best stadium in Europe and great museum tour! The museum tour could not have been better. Don't just see history or trophy room. Being on the field, on the bench, in the Athletic Club locker room, in the mixed zone, in the Jose Iragorri Press Conference room...an unforgettable experience. Attending a game at the new San Mamés I won't even tell you what it is. Practically covered from inclement weather and enjoying the most modern stadium in Europe with the best team in the world. - DayTrip49386095922Caparica, Portugal1 contributionSporting fans in San MamesThe stadium is beautiful. The visit to the Museum gave an insight into the history of Atletic Bilbao. It really is a club with an interesting history. The stadium being something new, transports us to a recent reality in the world of Football. Anyone who loves Football should visit the Stadium.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 5, 2024
- jesus angel uTorrejon De Ardoz, Spain14 contributionsHow great San Mamés!We loved both the museum and the stadium. The museum is a space with objects from the history of. Athletic, photos, videos, an immersive space.... It's very good. The stadium is amazing. If you are a football fan, you have to visit it sometime. Being a huge Madrid fan, I don't mind saying Aúpa Athletic!!!!Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 2, 2024
- Stromberg00788 contributionsRecommended for football fansA very interesting visit, reviewing the entire history of Athletic Club. Very modern. 15 euros for adults and 5 for children. In addition to the museum with the trophies, you visit a corner of the field, the bench, the locker rooms, the box, press room, etc. You also have the possibility of renting virtual reality glasses with an interactive activity and a guide for an additional 10 euros, which lasts 10-15 minutes, which children will love. Highly recommended.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 4, 2024
- MiguelCanelones Department, Uruguay34 contributionsA more than interesting walk in Bilbao. For football fans or not.An unmissable walk if you come to Bilbao. It doesn't matter if you are a football fan or not. The museum is very well organized, with good technology and a route that allows you to go from the museum itself, to the soccer field, to the stands, press rooms, locker rooms, boxes, etc. The entrance fee is €15 per person. Reasonable price for everything you can seeVisited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 7, 2024
- Raquel GBurgos, Spain614 contributionsAmusingA group of friends with children went and they had a lot of fun. The only drawback I see is the exorbitant price, otherwise, a very nice guide (Naróa) explained it to us and it is to go around the stadium: near the grass, bench, presidential box, press room, museum. .. They explain curiosities to you, the museum is good and you end up in the store. One good thing is that you can go back in and see it again without a guide and take whatever photos you want.Visited May 2024Traveled with friendsWritten May 17, 2024
- MarcYowah, Australia688 contributionsCathedralWe have been to the Champions League final between Barcelona and Olympique de Lyon and we have been amazed, everything is very new, everything is very clean. The men's bathrooms are huge and the line at the middle is almost non-existent. The bar prices are excessive, which is normal for a stadium of this type.Visited May 2024Traveled with friendsWritten May 26, 2024
- simpsonite64Northampton, United Kingdom700 contributionsGreat stadiumIncredible stadium. Organisation to get in was a bit poor, but once inside it was fine. Not LOADS of food/drink options but that's resolved by people walking round selling the essentials too. Amazing acoustics, one of the loudest stadiums in Europe.Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 9, 2024
- Luis Angel SBasauri, Spain1,480 contributionsExcellent visitI did the stadium tour plus the museum taking advantage of a visit from London. I must say that the museum is spectacular, it has made the most of the new stadium and has achieved a very attractive visit. About the stadium little to say, spectacular. Nice guide and quite complete tour. The only but, and what takes away the top score, is the price, which is totally disproportionate.Visited July 2024Traveled with friendsWritten July 27, 2024
- María V6 contributionsAthletic Museum and San Mamés StadiumAlthough I’m not a big football fan nor am I from any team, I signed up for this visit to the San Mamés museum and stadium and loved it. The museum is very well, very complete with history, significant objects of the club, from equipment, old photos, the lion... The pictures of all the players and the stadium. I found it a very advisable visit for those who visit Bilbao, whether or not they are very "footballer". Very good job. Thank you!Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 6, 2024

I went to see the museum and the stadium tour, without Guide. I thought it was amazing. The museum is beautiful and very well kept, but somewhat dark, it looks like a passage of terror. It teaches you all the history of Athletic and is very enjoyable, although it gets a bit long.
The stadium is simply spectacular. Maravilloso. Very modern and very well maintained facilities.
The price of admission, compared to other clubs, is normal, neither cheap nor expensive. You have to keep in mind that charging 15€ to see a monothematic museum and a stadium inside to me seems expensive, I think in football is already abused too much of all this. But I insist, considering the price of another club, it seems appropriate.
And you end up in the store, with delusional prices, yet another abuse of the football industry.
But let the prices not blur the majesty of this imposing stadium, really beautiful. Other clubs charge half as much for stadiums as this one.
In my case, I did the tour almost alone, there were hardly any other visitors that day, the staff did not bother me at all and I was at my leisure. It is true that the girl who attends is somewhat "dry", but with me she was polite and correct.
And the store staff were friendly and Reviewer, friendly and nice, made my shopping experience very satisfying.

We visited the museum and tour with an audio guide (very complete) with a 10-year-old boy who was very fond of soccer. The museum is very good but for him, the tour is the most, locker rooms, press room, benches, VIP box. Deluxe!!! Very good price too. You spend two hours calmly

I've been on quite a few stadium tours, and this is the best by far.
We opted for the audio guided tour, and it was €15 well spent. They say it takes 90 minutes, but we spent about 2 1/2 hours, followed by a drink in the bar that overlooks the pitch.
If you have any interest in football history whatsoever, I highly recommend a visit to the Stade San Mamés.

Excellent museum and stadium tour. Spent over 2 hours on the tour . Really informative audio guide and the information provided in the museum wasn’t overwhelming. The tour takes you through the origins of the club , players, the history , trophies and traditions . The stadium itself is breathtaking and architecturally beautiful

We are not used to visiting football stadiums, let alone their museums; however, beyond "traditional" monuments, cathedrals and great museums, this stadium deserves to be visited even if you do not like football, reminds me of some English stadiums of medium size but at the same time, beautiful and designed to make the spectator very comfortable, comfortable. A delight. And his museum, a "past", with a lot of very well-exposed information, of the "best thing" I have ever seen. It is one of the places to go if you visit the city.

Don't be acostumats to visit football stadium, face menys els seus museus; to i això, méllà de monuments "traditional", cathedrals i grans museus, aquest Estadi mereix ser visitet enca que no t'agradi el futbol, em reminiscent of some angled stadiums of mida mitjana per a la vegada, precious i pensats per a a l'spectator estigui molt a gust, comode. A delight. I el seu museu, a "passada", both a great quantitat d'information molt ben exhibited, of the "milloret" I have seen. It is a dels llocs on s'ha d'anar if you visit the ciutat.

Hadn’t planned on visiting this stadium but it was a dull and wet day so we decided to give it a try and we were blown away by the experience. It was quick and easy to buy tickets on line and the stadium is within easy walking distance of the city. The tour starts in the museum with descriptions in Spanish and English. The history of the club is full of so many ground breaking moments. I never knew!! No wonder they are so proud of their team. After the museum there are the changing rooms and press conference rooms. You get to run down the tunnel into the stadium, sit on the subs benches and take a look in corporate entertaining. Although I’m not a great football fan, I would love to watch a match in this stadium. It feels intimate. As if you could put your hand out and touch the players. It must be a wonderful atmosphere on match day. Thoroughly recommend as a great way to spend a couple of hours for all the family.

We watched the derby against San Sebastian live and were absolutely thrilled! We bought tickets that same morning for around 55 euros each. I thought that was expensive but the atmosphere was unique! The result of the game was extremely satisfying. And I was particularly impressed by the roof, we sat dry and even relatively warm, so very comfortable (in April)! Unfortunately there were no food options for vegetarians, but that is a general problem in Bilbao.

By far the best football museum I have ever been to. It proudly shows its history and future, it does not leave aside its fans and partners, giving them a place in it.
It has interactive experiences that entertain adults and children, ending in a modern and majestic stadium.
It's worth every penny of the ticket price.
Safety pin.

Beautiful stadium with interactive museum and full stadium tour. Compared to others we have visited it costs very little (15 euros for adults and 5 euros for my 15 year old son) and allows you access to every part of the stadium including the changing rooms which in other stadiums we had to pay for separately... If you love football and its history don't miss it

It is a real shame that in order to have an hour in line to take a photo with the glass you have to go to the checkout and what is worse, they don't say it, as it doesn't work with them. The thing about late appointments being late and few. On Saturday I was in line for four hours and seeing that the queue for the plebs took nine hours and the queue for the museum took at most 40 minutes, I left. THERE IS NO RIGHT. Thank you President!!!

Gracias

Do I need to purchase a ticket in advance if I want to do the stadium tour plus museum or can I just turn up on the day?
Thinking of doing next Tuesday.
Many thanks

Buenas noches
