We booked an apartment and stayed right in the heart of Casco Viejo. It's so beautiful with lots of tiny, narrow streets with cool shops and restaurants.

Better by day to enjoy the ambience and to better appreciate the architecture. Narrow streets, some street are here and there, full of taberns to have a drink and a bite to eat, and full of artsy shops.

The narrow streets and tall, old buildings remind me of my hometown. There are many stores, cafes, bakeries and restaurants which you can check out.

Lively, full of shops, restaurants and witnesses of the past. The beating heart of Bilbao. Tip: buy a Basque hat in Gorostiaga on Calle Victor.

Nice area to wander around. Pretty streets and bars abound and shops to browse in too. Make use of the tram to get to and fro and the Mercado de ribero is worth a visit while you are in the area.
