I've been in all of Spain, but never in Basque country and for long it was on my list. I'm so glad I did it now in June. Bilbao is a jewel, it's such a great small city having something for everyone with nice friendly...More

Brilliant. Bustling nightlife (especially in Old Town), world class Basque and Spanish cuisine, the internationally renowned Guggenheim museum. Cheap eats, Michelin dining, kicking bars and nightlife, cheap prices, no visible crime What's not to like?

There is more to Bilbao than the Guggenheim Museum. There is the old city, many plazas wide streets with restaurants and shops as well as other cultural sites such as museums. This is a very walkable city especially along the river.

Beautiful city, felt clean and well looked after. Tourists around but not packed like some cities. Things to see - "Puppy" at the Guggenheim, the old town, and take the tram up to see the Vizcaya transporter bridge. Surrounded by green hills, loved this place.

Bilbao isn't a place that you normally hear about when visiting Spain, but having spent a week their and the surrounding areas, I would highly recommend taking a look. The city is clean, the people are friendly and the food is great.

Get to the old town for a wonderful feeling of Spain. Wonderful ice cream. Street layout and signposting is a bit awkward to navigate, but well worth the effort.

Bilbao is a beautiful city. We arrived at the port near the town of Getxo on a cruise ship. Either the Port or the City of Bilbao provided a Free Shuttle to take passengers to the City Centre of Bilbao, an extremely good deed because...More

We visited Bilbao during the European Rugby finals, this city was as good as, and better, than others that have hosted the finals in recent years, we’ve been to the last 9. It’s a beautiful city even when it’s full of rugby fans, the locals...More

I’m not really sure where would be the best place to stay, but I would take the tram as it goes near to all the tourist spots. You can buy a barik card which you can use on train, bus, tram and metro, it costs about 3€ and... More
