This beautiful beach looks like Cobacabana in Brasil. It's wide and its long. The tide is really intense so the beach can change within just a few hours. When it's weekend and sunny weather unfortunately the beach is overcrowded. Otherwise, beautiful!

This stretch of beach has picturesque rocky patches, a walkway all around with great views and a river flowing into the beach. Shallow pools for playing, a shady paved walk along the river on one side, and access to the medieval part of town on the other side, make this a great spot for several relaxing days of fun.

Make sure to listen to the warnings in the speaker. Otherwise you will be wet. Nice beach when it is there. When not you can sunbath and take a bath from the stairs. Have lifeguards as well.

Great beach, but the tide is so heavy that the beach disappears every day, so know the tides before you go or you will be watching the water from the boardwalk above.

The Gijon urban beach is one of the most beautiful and clean urban beaches you can find in Spain. Although La Concha (San Sebastian), El Sardinero (Santander) or La Victoria (Cádiz) are more famous, this is equally beautiful, clean and enjoyable.

Our first visit to Gijon so took off from hotel to find the sea front. And what a lovely one Playa de San Lorenzo is, with its fabulous long paved sea front - walked 5 km and certainly didn't cover it all. Several eating places and ice cream huts also occupied the area. The stripy bins were pretty cool also... More

The promenade along the beachfront is a wonderful way to see the beach off season. Wide, spacious and very clean it rivals Sydney's Bondi Beach as a promenade. The water seems very clean and the waves fairly gentle on the day we visited. Plenty of lifeguards in Baywatch red on the lookout for poor swimmers in trouble. I loved the... More

A long, interesting beach that I'm sure gets very crowded and entertaining over summer. A few surfers in the are even though the waves were not great, and in perfectly melts with the church that perfectly crowns a nice seaside walk!
