We usually collaborate with La Cicleria organizing byke tours along the Ebro river sides. Every time, when trip is finished we stay a little bit longer to eat homemade briches and enjoy the staff's charm: It is a genuine "local" in which cyclers get involved in the promotion of their sustainable mean of transport... or mean of tourism: Hiring a proper btt for the day is surprisingly cheap and astonishing delightful, do ask for their assistance to choose your trip out or around the city.

Great place. Not only the bar part with excellent coffee, homemade cake and fair-trade soft drinks at affordable prices (veggie and vegan snaks available), in La ciclería you will also find an auto-repair garage with all tools and spare parts at your disposal, plus kind and helpful staff. There´s a nice little library too with plenty of books about routes, maps, repairing, ecology, bike-novels and so on. Furthermore, La Ciclería is the place where the local cyclists collective PEDALEA meets every monday evening. If you want to hang out and enjoy the local activity of the lively Magdalena you should visit La ciclería and of course, if you want to have a feel of Zaragoza´s bike culture this is an absolute must in Zaragoza. - Estupendo.

You associate bikes with Holland or Belgium, but Spain? I think I much rather die than to cycle in Madrid! But Zaragoza is another kettle if fish! I was travelling with a group of students and they wanted to cycle in the Park Labordeta! I got bored in the park and went out into the city to find bicycle paths everywhere! Later on I went to pay the bill in the "la Cicleria" office to find a funky cafe with the fastest internet! Next time you go to zaragoza, get on a bike!

If you dont know how to spend your afternoon during your trip to zaragoza, while all the museums ecc are closed, its a great idea to hire a bike in this nice place and go around the city, for example reaching the interesting (even if abandoned) park where the expo 2008 took place. Its an easy eco funny way to visit this beautiful town :) "pura poesia ciclista"!
