About
If you think that there is no way of enjoying a unique landscape in Europe without simultaneously having to share it with crowds around you, you will be gladly surprised to discover the Ebro River in Aragon (NE Spain). From the Castellar cliffs and castle to the Ribera Baja Goosnecks, a dramatic contrast between the arid “bardena” and the fluvial jungle remains barely known by the public, and therefore offers a great chance for those travelers looking for an intimate experience of Nature and its beautiful scenic views. More than 150 miles of mostly calmed waters give you the opportunity of choosing the branch of the Ebro you want to explore on the kayak, both in a half day trip or in a longer journey up to 1 week long. We will always try to share our knowledge and love to this river, the biggest in Spain regarding its average flow, but more importantly an extremely rich environment both regarding its ecological values and its historical heritage. We are happy to practice our English, Français, Italiano and of course Spanish while sharing the wonders hidden in the Ebro, from the amazing bird watching to the breathtaking sunset’s reflections on its waters, as well as all the unique panoramic views only enjoyable from inside the river. Guiding a trip means for us both guaranteeing your security as well as making sure you get the most of the fluvial experience, so we will try to help you understanding the landscape… and even listening to its whispers!-) Feeling tempted? Then you might be interested in Ryan Air flights to Zaragoza from Germany, UK, Italy… and the availability of the rural lodgings in the surroundings of our base in Cabañas de Ebro, at the heart of a pintoresque rural county just 30 minutes away from Zaragoza city. We offer a comprehensive service for groups, so we would receive you at Zaragoza’s Airport and bring you to a genuine experience of the river, its surroundings and its people. If you are lodged in Zaragoza, you might be interested in cruising down its monumental city center: paddling along “The Bridges of Zaragoza” will allow you to enjoy unique sights of its monuments as you have great fun splashing and maybe even swimming in the river!

My husband and I and our three children (aged 5, 10 and 14) really enjoyed our evening of kayaking with Pablo and Nestor. They were both so helpful and kind and great with our kids. It is really well organised and the views were beautiful. Would definitely recommend doing this while in Zaragosa. We loved it!!

We were here with a training course, taking place in Zaragoza. We spent an evening at the river and it was really lovely. The "guides" told us a lot about the river and the wish for the people of Zaragoza to take it back as a meeting point and a place for relaxing. I enjoyed the trip down a lot! Really beautiful and relaxing. Worth a visit for everyone spenning more than two days in this beautiful city.

Hi MariPrM! Thanks for your contribution. I am glad that you enjoyed the trip, I think it has a lot to do with the subject of the training course about urban natural environment: The Ebro keeps being a river when crossing Zaragoza, and that means both huge recreational possibilities and surprising ecological values at the heart of the city. I hope to meet you again in one of our trips outside the town, I recommend you come to visit the desert-jungle meeting at any of our "Escarpes del Castellar" trips as they offer a unique landscape, very different (although equally beautiful) to your norwegian homeland;-)

Yesterday, as a birthday present, my family organised a trip kayaking in the river Ebro. It was an amazing experience! The knowledge of the area surrounding the river, the wildlife, the list villages and the enthusiasm with which they show you whilst kayaking is unbelievable. I strongly recommend to try this experience in Zaragoza. You cannot go to Venice without
going on a Gondola and you cannot visit Zaragoza without going kayaking with Ebronautas.

The people running this have got it down to a tee - a fantastic tour that lasts just the right amount of time, with a great introduction and a good break at the right time in the middle. Very knowledgeable, friendly team of people who make sure you are happy and chat to you on the way. Excellent English, too! An absolute must if you're staying in Zaragoza
We did the evening tour (nocturNautas) which started in early evening, setting off at about 19.30 and we travelled as the sun set, finishing at night at around 22.30 - it was the first time we had kayaked on open water and the guys put us totally at ease, made sure we were happy and translated the instructions that were given to the largely Spanish group we were with. If you have any questions beforehand the staff were happy to help by email beforehand and were very accommodating for us. Can't praise them enough!

Had a great morning out on the river today. Nestor and Pablo were brilliant guides and instructors and very helpful genuine people. With me not speaking any Spanish (excuse my ignorance guys) both of them did there utmost to make sure I was included in the group as a whole and the river and experience was great! Tip, make sure to wear a hat and add lots of sun screen, it's a lovely river but very open! I'd highly recommend these guys so if you visit, book a trip down the river with ebroNAUTAS 5*

Knowing the Ebro River "from within" is a must experience if you visit Zaragoza and its surroundings.
Do any of the sections of the river in kayak accompanied by monitors Ebronautas is a great to meet the river, flora, fauna and history ... The great monitors, very aware of everything and all activity, and children happy as ever. If you can swim and have less than 150 years (in this group we were with two grandfathers) stop by Ebronautas.

Cracking canoe trip along the Ebro River.
Wonderful way to visit the surroundings of the unknown but surprising Zaragoza.
The members of the staff are very nice, helpful and professional. They not only make you feel comfortable on the canoe but also explain all sorts of things about the landscape, animals, river dynamics, etc.
Very complete visit to learn and have lots of fun with you partner, family, friends... Everybody is welcome.
