Thoroughly enjoyed this, the largest river aquarium in Europe. It doesn’t feel vast & is cleverly laid out, focusing on 5 rivers of the world. In addition to fish there are various other creatures including snakes, crocs & turtles. Kids will love it. It’s located outside of the old centre, in the Expo zone, which itself has some interesting buildings & leisure space. There’s a casual cafe at ground level & a more swish looking rooftop restaurant with great views.

The aquarium was rather expensive, but they had beautiful fish and other animals (like little monkeys). We were alone in the aquarium. Just like the site of Expo 2008 the aquarium was abandoned. The big aquarium with the large fish was extraordinary! After your visit you definitely have to go to the top of the aquarium. The view over the Ebro is splendid. You can have a drink there and you can enjoy the view.

Took my 5 year old there to get a break from the heat and "shopping". Absolutely loved the aquarium - the english commentary/explanations are a little brief but loads of animals to see.
Plenty of other activities too to keep kids engaged.
Parking is easy nearby or you can take the bus.

This aquarium is divided in to five zones on five continents, Nile, Murray-Darling, Mekong, Amazon and Ebro. The signage is informative and the fish, mammals and birds look well cared for. The aquarium is on two floors and is well laid out. There is a good film about the birth of the baby Nile crocodiles born here. Well worth a couple of hours visiting.

Compared with our benchmark :- Sydney Aquarium, this aquarium is on par if not better in many ways. The focus is freshwater fish habitats and they do this really well!

There were also animals such Marmots (monkey from the Amazon) iguanas, snakes, monitors and many different types of turtles.

The kids absolutely loved it. I do not understand why it was not crowded when we visited. The whole area it resides in was built for world expo 2008 and the whole place is now devoid of people, this may be part of the reason.

We had visited San Sebastian aquarium last week and this aquarium is much bigger and more interesting.

You can get a combined ticket for the aquarium and the Zaragoza tourist bus from the tourist office at the station for only 15€ - a bargain!

The aquarium was huge and really well laid out and presented! The focus on the five different rivers really showed the contrast in environments in different parts of the world.

Strongly recommended during a visit to Zaragoza.

Well worth the trip to see this. Easy to get to using the hop on hop off tourist bus which is valid for 24 hours. The aquarium is the largest fresh water aquarium in Europe. Kids and adults will enjoy this alike
