You cannot drive in certain streets in central Huesca, they have cameras and will fine you.. The trouble is that they are signposted in such a way that you can see them until it is too late.....unless you want to walk 40 mins to the cathedral, which is quite nice but nothing special.....AVOID central Huesca completely....it is NOT worth it!

The small ancient town which Huesca is offers its guest fascinating travelling through space and time =) "Time part" covers interior and exibition of the cathedral and staircase to the tower's top is responsible for "space" - they bring you halfway to heaven and let you enjoy better view of the town and surroundings you can ever imagine!
Nice gregorian choir (record of course, but still) pitch the atmosphere and helps you to feel what they have in the cathedral, not only see!
But the major attraction of the whole town is the view! Get 187 stairs up (OMG! Make sure you're slim - the last staircase is tight) and you will bw able to see all Huesca many kilometres around! It's breathtaking and definitely worth 3 Euro they charge!

On a clear day in October, with nearly no traffic, I was stopped by Huesca Police for no apparent reason. After a long delay and their discovery that was was in a rental car that was to be returned to the Madrid Airport within 48 hours, I was issued a totally bogus citation for 500 euros. I was alone and had no witness and they knew I was scheduled to fly back to the US before having any chance to contest this bogus ticket. They very rudely assured me that I would have to pay the entire amount if I did not give them my credit card, and they rang up 250 euros on the spot. I highly recommend anyone with an obvious rental car or out of the area license plate to reconsider visiting this area! There are many other lovely places you can go without such risks. The costs of disputing fraudulent tickets is higher than the fees and nearly impossible without witnesses. BEWARE!

Huesca Cathedral is a religious building located in the main square of Huesca, in the old town and in front of the town hall. It is an historical and recognizable building, in fact is the typical building, which when you see it, you know it is Huesca. For me the best parts are the main gate and especially the altar. The best monument in Huesca, which I recommend you see calmly in the day and at night and you do a guided visit to learn a lot of things about the Cathedral.

We’ve visited many cathedrals and religious buildings across Spain. I didn’t really have any expectation of this small cathedral. However it’s absolutely beautiful. Some of the most intricate details I’ve seen in a while. Go up the bell tower if you dare. 180 steps up and down through a very narrow staircase. You’re met with the most stunning views. We happened to be next to the bells as the clock struck 12. I’ve never heard (or felt) anything like it. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Huesca. €4.50 entry, which is totally worth every penny.

I'm not sure if paying to enter the adjacent Museo Diocesano is the only way of entering the Cathedral, but certainly it was the only way to access it during my visit. The cost was around €5. It was well worth it in my opinion, as in addition to seeing the cathedral (which is stunning, though not as ornate as many) the exhibits

This is a splendid example of the early Spanish architecture. There is a lot to see and i would suggest getting the city tour from the tourist office. This way the entrance fee is part of the pack and you can walk right in. It is useful to have the tour as there is a lot that needs explanation here. A really good visit even if you are not religious.

A must inclusion when exploring the medieval centre in the context of the history of Huesca. Not much in the way of detailed information available on the cathedral and its history so if thats your interest suggest research beforehand. Walking around the centre their were hints of a lot of history. We were only staying Huesca overnight so couldn't take in much overall; this was by way of an exploratory trial drive through France and Spain to gain experience so next time we will plan a full day in Huesca.

Very nice cathedral in the whole and a gorgeous chapel to the left of the alter. Watch out for the agressive icon selling non though...
