I took my 7&8 year old girls. It wasn't crowded. I highly recommend the audio guide. It's informative and engaging. The views from the castle are breathtaking and much of the castle is still in tact. My daughters loved climbing through the castle.

If you love castles, you got to see this one. It is very picturesque sitting on top of the rock against the skyline. Great to walk all about inside and out, especially with the audioguide.

The castle itself is very well preserved, with the three historic eras clearly defined. It has incredible views and a wonderful story. Definitely worth a visit. Our guide Gabriel was unbelievably helpful and fun, he made the tour! Was very cold so wrap up warm!

Since the castle has not been restored, it is a delight for the imagination. You can peer through the holes/windows and imagine an archer defending his position.

We think best seen early just after the sun rises for good pictures then later to walk around this castle. Castle was used in the film Kingdom of Heaven, brilliant film. Loarre is a castle for exploring - it’s semi-ruined state still allows you to...More

The visit was excellent with an English audio guide. The castle is ruins so it's not like you'll see any beautiful ornate rooms with furnishings. It dates back to the year 1020 so it's very old! Parking by is free. Price with audio was 6.5E....More

This is a well presented castle rich in history that played a key part in the history of Spain. We took the audio devices and I recommend them as they are not expensive and reasonably entertaining. The castle looks great from the outside and does...More

The views over the Aragon plains are simply wonderful from this interesting and historic 10th C castle. The castle itself is a great place to explore and if you've seen the film "Kingdom of Heaven" you may recognise some of the vistas. It's largely unrestored...More

Hi! Roberts answer is good, however I'm fairly certain a pre book for castle entrance is not needed. I would plan to be there at opening hour if you'd like a bit of quietness in your exploration as it is a tourbus favorite... More
