The San Bernardo Bridge or Firefighters Bridge, as it became known (it is now over the firefighters station), goes from dry land to dry land, over dry land. Once, in the past, it was a bridge over a second river in Seville, the Tagarete. The river was covered by the city (I guess it still runs underground), but the bridge stayed. it is a beautiful 19th century bridge. Perhaps, a good idea to visit it is to walk from the Carne Gate (where Santa maria la Blanca is) through Eduardo Dato Street, up to the Buhaira gardens. It is a nice walk and you would kill two birds with one stone.
