Great tour of Alcázar and Cathedral - very informative with just the right level of detail, and it was nice having some time to explore the beautiful gardens of the Alcázar on our own before continuing the tour. Thanks to our guide Jesus.

Worth the money &the tour guide was very good ( sorry i can’t remember his name) the only thing i would say is going straight from the Alcazn to the Cathedral is to much be better if there was a wee 1/2 hour break between tours.

After the operator insisting we be on time, we had to wait for 2 persons that were late for 30 minutes. We finally left without them... about 20 minutes into the tour the guide received a call and had to go back and fetch the 2 persons that were late who had finally arrived. We (group of about 45) were left waiting again for 10-15 minutes. The commentary was very superficial we hissed past rooms we did not see. I was able to eves drop on other tours/tour guides as we walked past them or as we were waiting and could easily tell the difference. The other guides were explaining and guiding to a far greater extent. Our guide was busy shepherding a group that was far too big. When we got to the groups entrance of the cathedral we waited again whilst about a dozen others groups appeared to be walking straight in. Again, we waited for no apparent reason. I want to be clear: this is about the tour and this specific tour operator not the site (which is fantastic). Based on my observations seeing other groups (smaller in size, no waiting, more interesting and in depth commentary, did not skip rooms like we did...) we just had a bad tour operator.

Dear Patrick, From Sevilla Official Tours we want to thank you for your time to write a review of your feelings about this tour experience. We feel sorry for the waste of time you have suffered, we have been speaking with our guide in order to avoid this accident in future occasions, that's why we thank your opinion. We need you to understand that we are forced to wait our customers until the last minute before the tour startin time, thing that it's unfair for customer who arrived in advance and we feel sorry for that. Also, we need to clarify that our guides are used to deal with this group amount so we think the problem wasn't the number of customer but the high afluence of customers in the monument. On this cases, as some departments are full of people, our guides try to show you the most representatives areas of the Cathedral. We hope you would come back to our city and give us the opportunity to show you properly the monument arranged again. Regards, Sevilla Official Tours.

The only reason to take this tour is if you don't want to wait in the line (and check out how long the regular line is before wasting your money on this one). Our tour was 16 people, conducted in both Spanish and English. The guide, Javier, gave us the bare minimum to still call it a 'tour'. It was a waste of time and money. Our Rick Steves guide book gave 5 times as much information and we weren't trying to listen through a crappy headset (after the 'tour', we stayed and did it ourselves. We booked through 'Get Your Guide', I'm not sure where they get their guides but I will try not to use them in the future, if that is who they hire out to.

Dear TDHLAW. Firstable, thank you so much for take your time to write a review for us. It helps us to keep improving our service. We feel sorry you have to wait the line but we need to understand that in those special dates the city is full of people everywhere and we cannont avoid congestion at some point. Also, we apologizes if the explanation of the monuments wasn't enough for you. There is so much to see and explain on Alcazar building and it's difficult to explain every single detail as a guided book can do without a timing to follow. We have been dealing with the company that provides the headseats in order to get a better device type. Again, thank you for you opinion and we hope, if you ever come back to our city, we could provide you with a proper service as you expected on your visit day. Regards,

The tour was excellent and our guide was so informative and even giving little side notes and information. This tour is well worth it as you get a taste of Seville and it’s history.
