Enjoy a live flamenco show on the banks of the Guadalquivir River in the Triana district, considered the heart of flamenco in Seville. Watch a flamenco dance performance accompanied by live Spanish guitar, singing, and rhythmic clapping that fill the small theater. Your ticket includes a tasting of Manzanilla, a typical sherry wine from southern Andalusia.

After walking through lots of streets coming upon Plaza Nueva with all of its trees was like finding an oasis. It's a very attractive square, with some interesting buildings, including the City Hall. It seemed to be a place that people go for relaxation. There are numerous places to sit and there was a very good band busking which was playing ragtime music. In the centre is a statue of a former king, Fernando III, sat upon a horse.

Plaza Nueva is a lovely public square with some greenery and space to sit and relax. Plenty of shops around. The area was built on what used to be land belonging to a convent (of San Fernando), which explains I suppose the big monument in the middle of the plaza. The Town Hall is also in this area. Worth strolling around and about. It's in the middle of the city.

During our time in Seville, my wife and I stayed at a lovely hotel that was directly across from Plaza Nueva. We enjoyed spending some time walking around this public pedestrian square that is located in the heart of Seville. There is some seating as well as some greenery around the periphery, including bitter orange trees. The focal point of the plaza is the San Ferdinando Monument which pays tribute to Ferdinand III, who conquered Seville for the Christians in 1248. Though this plaza appears to be a modern public square it actually dates back to 1856 when it was completed. It is clean and well maintained and was the perfect place to people watch or just slow down at the end of day of exploring Seville and surrounding areas.

Open square to relax and sit but not much going on here. There is a tower column. This is where most trams stop and begin. Beside that, not much going on.

There is an information centre very close to Plaza Nueva on Calle Tetuan. . The staff person Elena Marin was absolutely fantastic and gave us a lot of useful tips and advice to increase our enjoyment of this fabulous city. We are so pleased we went there early in our stay. I am sure we will go back for more advice and tips again...and so should you! She advised us about tours, galleries and museums, restaurants and getting a Spanish telephone service. Very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. A great ambassador for Seville.
