Stretching out in Seville

Spent a couple of hours one afternoon, walking reading taking pics...beautiful. Its a great contrast to the fun crowded Centro area.

A very tranquil park with lots of seating areas at the top of the park is Plaza Espana which is superb. Plenty to see and museums within the park

Greenery all around, fountains, sculptures, bridges, stairs and so much more. This park is absolutely breathtaking. As most people think of Plaza de Espana first (which undoubtedly is another wonder of Seville), they may miss out on this park next to it. Take time for it, it's truly worth the walk.

Get away from the main city centre by walking down to Plaza Espagna and into the Maria Luisa park opposite. This is a lovely place to come just to escape the heat of the day and the hustle and bustle of the main sights. Bring a bottle of water and a book to read and sit on one of the... More

We did this by horse drawn carriage on the last day due to shortage of time but if I were to return, I would spend hours here with a picnic as it is absolutely beautiful and there is loads to see.

We walked around Park Maria Luisa on an overcast day after having just visited the Alcazar gardens - perhaps that's why we felt a bit anticlimactic...? Dont get me wrong - a lovely big park and on a sunny day I'm sure it provides respite from the sun and dust of the town around it.

Parque Maria Luisa is a must see, surrounded by amazing architecture and beautifully manicured. Spend an afternoon enjoying the park and take a leisurely walk to the Plaza de Espana nearby.

These formal gardens (which also serves as a botanical garden) are worth strolling around just to take in all the plants and the unusual trees but they are also an ideal place to rest in the sun after taking in some of the sights such as the Plaza de Espana. Alas, when we were there in May it was showery... More

Excellent experience; $45E for about 1-1.5 hours, great overview of Seville, including Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de Espana. Also good overview of the other historic buildings around the main events (Alcazar and Church). The kids (10 and 12) loved it. EFFICIENT.
