Magnificent. I thought my family and I will spend 2 hours here and scoot to the Cathedral after but we ended up spending 4 hours in the morning. Everywhere I turn, more breathtaking views. It's like a never-ending unraveling of treasures both inside and out. Buy a ticket on-line to avoid the lines and choose the earliest time slot (9:30).... More

The original rooms of this gorgeous palace built by Moorish kings. Don't short change your time to visit the numerous rooms, patios, and gardens. Amazing tile work. After several hours we enjoyed a snack in the cafe -with wine! Beat the lines by booking on-line. Spend the money for an audio tour. The map vs. audio room directions are a... More

Visited Real Alcazar on a hot day in June. We were on an organised tour from the cruise ship so we avoided long entrance queue. Our guide was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable and gave us detailed information about the palace and courtyards. Unfortunately he spent so much time describing the beautiful interior we had little time to visit the gardens.... More

The tour was simple and easy to purchase with the guided tour handset definitely recommended. You need at least 2.5hrs to see everything and there is plenty to take in for sure. If you've done a lot of tours of historical places in Europe this is something different particularly as it is still occupied by royalty and built during a... More

It's right next to the Cathedral n Giralda Tower. Conveniently to visit all. You can see the influence of both Muslims n Christianity. However, it's like all Alcazar in Spain. Visit one is good enough. If you haven't visited Mosque-Cathedral in Córdoba, you should do this one. Can skip if you have.

If you love ceramics and gardens, you will love it. A mix of indoor and outdoor things to see. The ceramics museum was small but super interesting. Lots of shade if you are there in the summer.

Not sure where the fees are going, certainly not on upkeep or gardening. Don't believe the hype and you may be pleasantly surprised, but after how talked up this place is you feel underwhelmed by the time you exit.

Not really, but in reality, I have to say that I'm not sure which was more impressive--the Real Alcazar or the Alhambra. We spent around three hours wandering through this incredible place looking at the beautiful details in the ceilings and tapestries, wanting so badly to immerse in the wonderful water fountains and baths, and wandering through the huge expanse... We were at the Real Alcazar in June, and though we hadn't purchased advanced tickets, the wait wasn't too bad to enter. (Though it sprawled half-way back toward the Cathedral, it moved surprisingly fast.) Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous grounds! Must have taken 100+ pictures that afternoon. Our only disappointment was that the Royal Apartments (Cuarto Real Alto) were sold out for... More
