Housed in one of the very fine surviving Mudejar pavilions from the 1929 Spanish-American Fair in Maria Luisa Park, this is more than the extensive collection of flamboyant flamenco frocks you might expect– though they are certainly there in abundance! There also are ceramics from Triana, handsome furniture, and ancient artisan equipment from blacksmiths’ gear to wine presses, all of which give a taste of life in 19th-century Andalucía. The highlight – along with the tiles – is the historic collection of fabulously colorful posters advertising the city’s famous April Fair, a fascinating gallop through changing trends in graphic design. Look for the striking Art Deco poster from 1930. Closed on Mondays

I thought the museum was very interesting... I was a little bummed that the lace exposition was closed! I was nice that they didn’t charged me, even though I’m not from the EU

What an interesting museum. I didn't find it easy to find from Plaza De Espana, probably an idea to stay on main road Paseo De las Delicias which runs parallel to the river until there's a gate or turn off near Plaza de America where...More

If you happen to be in Seville, this is one of many museums worth visiting. You travel back in time as you move along a well organised layout of the various sections depicting different traditional trades and the tools used in these trades. The building...More

This is not an art museum, it's a museum of the arts of living - weaving, woodwork, metal work, and etc. There is a lot to see here, although sadly the costumes floor is closed at the moment. There is still a large and specialist...More

This museum can transport you to the "old" traditional Andalucía. If you visit Seville you must visit it!!!

This place is worth a quick visit if you are in the area, but I was expecting more costumes. The lace exhibition is very nice and the building itself is impressive.

We were particularly impressed by the unique lace collection! The museum also displays an expansive array of local artefacts and everyday life. It is reccomended to combine your visit with the Archaeological Museum nearby.

It is a few minute walk from Plaza de Espana and this could be the reason for not so many tourists reach it. Many prefer to stop at the striking square without reaching the close museum area (there is also the archaeological museum). The museum...More
