This is the structure celebrating the explorer Christopher Columbus. The monument depicts the past glory of Spain.

Nothing more than a common monument, and not a beautiful one to be true. But, it is in the middle of the Murillo Gardens and is worth a picture.

An unusual structure that doesn't immediately convey who or what it is commemorating. The setting within the Jardin de Murillo is good but it really looks oddly out of place.

This is a very nice monument and fountain. Located in the large gardens. Well worth the trip from the castle and cathedral area to see it.
