This church is usually only snapped in tourist pictures from the outside, but it is definitely worth a visit for a Sunday mass. The interior is decorated in several different styles such as Baroque and Gothic. With all the beautiful paintings decorating the walls, it is like visiting an art museum for free.

In front of the church there is a small plaza with the statue of Fray Luis de Granada. He was a Dominican priest and writer. The bronze statue was made in 1910 by Pablo Loyzaga. The church was constructed in 1512 and was part of the Monastery of Santa Cruz. The church has several styles: the Baroque, Gothic and late Renaissance. The church has several side altars that are quite beautiful.

This church is beautiful to see it you must follow the mass schedule, and ignore the priest who is quite rude. Overlook the priest and you have a masterpiece in front of you.

The interior is amazing, especially the depiction of the last supper on the right as you enter. Opening hours for the interior are understandably limited, so make sure you try and adjust your day to fit in a visit - you won't be disappointed!

This church was just around the corner from our hotel. The door was open so we walked in and sat in the back. A priest was delivering a sermon in Spanish. so we just stayed a few minutes. Beautiful church.

This is a Gothic church with Baroque chapels that is worth a short visit. The diorama of the Last Supper with life-sized figures is something I’d never seen before.

The interior is worth a visit for the lifesize carving of the Last Supper on the left in front of the main altar and for the absolutely over the top cherub encrusted side chapel behind it. Visiting is easiest on Sunday, or it's open before Mass at 9 or in the evening. Exterior facade also very nice.

It's a pretty little church. As the rest of the city it closes the afternoon and when we came by a Saturday midday the office was ongoing

Iglesia de Santo Domingo was established in 1512 and presents an original facade consisting of a portico with three arches with frescoes decorating the portico. Otherwise the attractive stone has mercifully been left unwhitewashed. A mix of styles: Gothic and Baroque.
