Environment dedicated exhibition that is a bit mysterious regarding the message. You have a couplecof rooms with different sensual experiences. First you focus on the sounds, than on the visual experiences and at the end on your logical thinking. My personal conclusion was thatvthe artistscwanted the viewers to notice the music of the outside world as interestingvenough when compared to staying indoors... As this is modern art, it is hard to say if this os what the messagecreally was...

Stumbled across this space on way to the cathedral. An exhibition of Carlos Leon's work was showing at the time of my visit. Across four levels, the artwork was comfortably displayed (ie, not too squashed in, not too sparse), rising to a feeling of lightness and openness at the top of the exhibit / building. Several reading resources were available to visitors, for browsing. On Monday night, there was a contemporary music concert (sax/percussion). All available at no cost to visitors. Amazing.

My tour group had an hour to explore the area independently. I took a quick look around and spied Centro Jose Guerrero. This art gallery could be accidentally overlooked. Pay attention. It is worth the trouble to find, near the cathedral and among the shops. The multi-floor museum is accessible by elevator as well as steps. It may not be a favorite place for all children, but the day I visited the theme was visually stimulating with a variety of media and several artists represented. I know children who would have taken interest. And the space is not so large that it passes their attention span. On a weekday afternoon, I shared the quiet and lovely building, an architectural sanctuary, not to go unnoticed btw, with only a few people. Blessed Serendipity

This museum for exhibitions of contemporary and modern art is close to the Cathedral, and recommended in my guidebook. So I went to check it out. Very nice modern interior. Imagine that in the historical centre of Granada. At the time of visit, there was a major exhibition on Spanish painter Luis Gordillo (this centre was one of the two venues for displaying his works, the other being Palacio Carlos V in Alhambra). While the exhibition was not of too much interest to me, the centre is definitely worth checking out for its changing programmes.

Great little gallery next to the cathedral with free admission. There was a very good exhibition on when we visited - it is on 4 floors. There is also a section of posters, catalogues and postcards for sale in the little shop.
