- James G2 contributionsFlamenco that moves the Soul✨On our trip to Portugal and Spain, we saw 4 different flamenco shows and this show was BY FAR the best one. Everyone was SO Passionate with their craft! Especially the dancers!!! When I return to Granada, I will return to Cuevas Los Tarantos.Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 28, 2023
- Bruce W6 contributionsExcellent authentic Flamenco in GranadaWe were looking for a truly authentic Flamenco experience in Granada and we found it at Cuevas de Tarantos. The intimate classic cave setting was perfect and all the performances, the guitar, singer and dancers were all superb. The added plus, since we had the dinner/show package, the food was excellent.Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 3, 2023
- Giuseppe CasalnuovoMilan, Italy829 contributionsMust do in GranadaIt was a fantastic flamenco experience in the historic center of Granada. The money for the show was well paid. My group and I decided not to have dinner there, but we took some sangria, wine, jamon and cheese of an acceptable quality. The performers were varied and all had their own unique characteristic.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten January 4, 2024
- Jim J66 contributionsExcellent flamenco show.An excellent flamenco show from a family who have been entertaining g visitors for over 50 years. We attended the earlier session at 7pm so no dinner was served, just a drink— wine, beer, or soda. The show lasted just over an hour, with a short 10 mins break at the halfway point. The music, singing, and dancing were all very very good. Easy to take a bus or taxi to the location.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 10, 2024
- Jenny BQuebec City, Canada3 contributionsSo much emotion! At first, we were a little worried as we were sitting right in front of the performers. But WAW! Did we get the full experience! The fact that the show is in a cave gives the experience an intimacy that would be hard to find elsewhere and only added to the experience. The dancers, the singers and guitarists were all amazing! We could really feel it and we spent an amazing time, living such powerful emotions. We talked about it for the rest of the night. My only regret is that we didn't know much about Flamenco and as we don't speak spanish, I'm not sure we understood everything that was going on... and despite that, the show is still the highlight of our stay in Granada. I would recommend it to anyone.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 20, 2024
- pavlovokNewport, United Kingdom146 contributionsFlaming flamencoIntense dancing, amazing acoustics and atmospheric setting. Difficult to park so we were 10 mins late but enjoyed every minute of the varied dances, flamenco guitar and percussive clapping. Interesting seeing photos on the walls when the caves were in their original form without paint. The older senorita dancing with maracas was the star of the show - that lady got rhythm. We loved it.Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 16, 2024
- Georgina O12 contributionsTrust exceptional, raw, passionate and authentic. The show here is so fantastic and feels truly authentic. The performers were passionate and skilled, great atmosphere and an all around fabulous evening. I read some reviews before we went that weren't as favorable and all I can say is that those folks have no clue what they are coming to see. Yes the chairs are small, its fine and gives that true intimate cave atmosphere. No they don't start with intros or dance with big smiles on their faces...because this is raw, and real and spontaneous, and thusly beautiful. Yes there is a break between sets...my goodness they must be exhausted let them take a dang break!! All the dancers were fabulous. The taller gentleman who (for us) danced in the second set was out of this world (he needs a whole Patrick Swayze style movie immediately, the man is memorizing on the floor). My husband was blown away by the guitar playing. Just hands down one of the best and most memorable evenings we have ever spent. Don't delay, book today!Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 11, 2024
- HJL215Worcestershire, United Kingdom196 contributionsCheck out what you are booking. We booked a tour from Porcel Hotel Alixares. The only information we were given was that we would be collected, taken to the Mirador then on to the show. The tour left on time at 21:15 but we were dropped off a long way from the show and taken on a 45 minute walking tour that included time at the Mirador and ended at the show. Good little walk if we had been prepared for it ( shoes, time taken etc). It was 1.5 hours before we reached the venue from the hotel. When we arrived at the venue it had the feel of a cattle market. People were herded out and we were herded in. A small venue with at least 60 people inside crammed together. The guitarist & singer had microphones turned up way too loud. In fact in such a small place it wasn't necessary at all. The dancers were very good.Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 3, 2024
- Babur BDubai, United Arab Emirates36 contributionsCharismatic crewThe flamenco performance was truly captivating! The crew was incredibly charismatic, and the chemistry among them was amazing, making the experience even more engaging. Laura was undoubtedly the star of the show, delivering a performance full of passion and grace. The setting in the cave created a very intimate atmosphere, allowing the audience to feel as if they were face-to-face with the performers, adding to the authenticity of the experience.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 21, 2024
- NikJAscot, United Kingdom957 contributionsWent with open mindWas our first flamenco, and had been told could be hit or miss on the singer/guitar player, went with open mind. Show started at 9:10, and had a drinks break for 15mins, before guitar and then singer did solos… finished around 10:20 for us. In the end there was not a large amount of time that was dancing but was entertaining, and the location made it more quirky. Probably would not do this one againVisited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 12, 2024

Let me be clear: This show is one of the best flamenco shows I have seen in my life. But the service of this place is terrible. The server was unfriendly, rude, horrible (only one guy for the entire place). When we got there, the place was already full and they tried to separate our group because of this (we contracted the service with transport, so it wasn't our fault about the time of arrival). I had to speak up and make clear we didn't want to be separated but clearly they don't care about customers...only money. They didn't save places for people like us with a reservation made before, on the contrary, they let people of same day to take seats all over the place. Sad, because the performers where amazing.

It started badly since we had booked a show with transportation and the bus did not come to pick us up at the indicated place and time, no one contacted us and we were the clients who had to call to say that the transportation was not coming, not the other way around that would have been the case. normal. Finally we arrived on our own and they paid for the taxi, it would be more necessary. Afterwards, the show was totally disappointing, 2 groups of artists who did the right thing and without any interaction with the public, did not present or comment on anything about the performances, the artists were without enthusiasm, nor desire and as an obligation without further ado; To make matters worse, when they finished they immediately and rudely told the entire group that we had to vacate the cave quickly. In conclusion, I do not recommend the show at all and when I return to Granada I will certainly choose another cave where I can truly enjoy, that although less known, they treat you better and live flamenco with passion.

This was way more than a tourist show. Locals go too to see this family of dancers.
Set in a historic “cave” and seating for maybe 50 lined around the walls, the four dancers perform individually in the tiny central space.
There is a guitarist and singer and each performance is an intense artistic conversation between they and the dancer.
It’s brilliant.
The show lasts just over an hour and price includes a drink.
Absolutely worth the money and the time in beautiful Granada.

Typical place in a kind of cave, very small but nice gypsy style. I recommend you book. Very few smiles from the staff but a truly beautiful flamenco show. With €26 per person you can enjoy a performance lasting approximately an hour and a half with a drink included. Convenient to get there with the efficient red circulars that go around Granada. Recommended place for everyone.

This venue was chosen by our hotel. They were to provide transport. We waited where we were told pickup would happen. It didn't. Went back to the hotel and told them, they ordered a taxi. Apparently the venues van broke down. No communication to the hotel. So we get there, they pay for the taxi. They don't take our tickets, they push us into a room and we wait for over an hour. The room filled up no one new what was happening. No one communicated from the staff. Eventually the herd us, yes like cows, into another room. As we were shuffled in we were pushed against a wall as they carried out an elderly dancer. This room is packed so seats are not optimal (as we had had in the other room). they take drink orders, but didn't get ours.
The Flamenco was underwhelming, down right awful. We were just cows in the barn as they danced. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Then we had to wait for them to herd us into taxis to take us back to our hotel.
Had they communicated along the way it would have been much nicer instead of treating us like trash. Many in the room did not have to pay it was so unorganized. If this had been in the states I would have demanded my money back. What a joke
Apparently the elderly dancer came back in and she was fine.
Do not go here. I heard they were great once, but that ship has sailed. No customer service...stay away!

Having been to many professional and amateur musical shows, both my wife and I left this one feeling rather disappointed. The chairs were like a parent being back at their children's primary school i.e. small and uncomfortable (and I'm not big)! A drink was served efficiently. Show started late (circa 10-15 mins), no information / introductions etc, ran for 25 minutes then a break for 10-15 minutes (no information etc) and then finished on-time. Once again, most customers were bemused and had no idea the show was over. Mixed performances, but only a couple of dances each from a man and a woman (who were both good) and some movement from an old lady who is obviously past her prime, but was competent on the castanets. Guitar playing and singing were good, but they seemed to be making the set up in between numbers. This is not quite what I expected a Flamenco show to be. Maybe just depends on the cast on the night.

We went for dinner and the flamenco show. In retrospect, I would have skipped the dinner and just attended the show - although it did mean we had a great seat. We were really impressed by the level of music and dancing. Overall a great night out!

we were surprised that our upscale hotel recommended this as the best flamenco show in Granada. It was awful. First, it is not a 'cave' but a musty, moldy room with a curved ceiling. It has absolutely no atmosphere and is stifling and stuffy even on a cold night in November. There was no intro, no words from the performers, they just began (and a bit late). It's a small rectangular room and they didn't make a point to dance facing both sides of the audience. We couldn't see their feet and much of flamenco is the stomping of their feet. After about 20 mins of dancing, everything stopped without explanation. We took the opportunity to leave as it was clear that we got the idea and there was nothing beautiful or fun or interesting to see there. Wow - so bad. I saw a flamenco show once in a small speakeasy type of theatre in NYC and it blew this away. Too bad that there was nothing pleasant about this performance or venue.

Loved the energy and dance of this traditional show. We booked with tourist office. Let us mesmerised. The artists are professional and very highly quality dancers and musicians. The singer has an intense and incredible voice. Highly recommend.

The flamenco dancing was pretty good. But the dancers only performed one dance each and were of the similar style. The dancers got up at about half way and did not return for at least 5 min. I thought they may have been changing costumes, but no. They returned in same costumes and never did explain why they left.mmmmk

Roubo, puro e simples! Una mierda!

We want to see a Flamenco show while in Granada for our 1 night, but surely don't want to go to some touristy ripoff joint. I also think that eating dinner in such a place can be a bad idea.

Thank you Charlotte. This info is helpful. I did read some reviews that seemed to say it was touristy, etc so that put me wondering. As for the Alhambra, yes it is the reason we have decided to squeeze in an overnight in Granada to have that experience.
