About
The flamenco tablao "Reina Mora" was born in 1971, it was inaugurated by "El Parranda" with artists of the time such as "Fosforito" and "Juanito Valderrama". In 2001 it takes its current name, "Tablao Flamenco Albayzin", reopened with the dancer "Juan de Juan", being since then the springboard of the young artists from Granada: Fuensanta "La Moneta", Patricia Guerrero, David Carmona, Alfredo Tejada, Ismael "El Bola"... This emblematic tablao is located in the famous viewpoint of San Cristobal, crowning the Albayzin neighborhood, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Every night we count, from 21.15, with 8 artists that will make us enjoy an incredible show of 75 minutes, with special invitations like: Pol Vaquero, Paloma Fantova, "El Carpeta", Moisés Navarro, Juan José Villar , "Rapico", Román Vicenti, Camarón de Pitita, Francisco Vinuesa, Manuel de la Curra, May Fernández ...

A month ago, I've booked a flamenco show for my boyfriend and I while I was in Granada. The show has been canceled due to covid-19. Since then, we're wainting for the refund of the price of the 2 tickets. Jose Ricardo and the team of Tablao Albayzin do not answer our e-mails and they have been keeping our money (50 €).

A beautiful experience! I recommend it to everybody. I had already seen it in Seville a few days before, great different flamenco and pathos, suffering, and a mixture of incredible emotions that the dancers manage to convey to the spectators, the three exceptional dancers. Also the guitarist, the singer and the dancer. I absolutely recommend it, you can't leave Granada without seeing a flamenco show. Furthermore, the place is a little old but it's fine. It is located exactly in front of the Mirador de Cristobal, you can get there by taking bus number nine to go up and number eight to go up. I absolutely recommend getting it for €1.40 you'll do great.

We paid for bus transportaation to and from the site, drinks, and the show. We actually were met at the pick-up point by another single who went with us by taxi. There was no bus for the 3 of us- just for big groups. The show was OK- a bit amateurish-they were planning their routines as they went along- but it was Flamenco. The "drink" was soda or pretty basic wine, and you were lucky to get served by the 1 waiter for 100 people before the show began.

The real problem came after- there was no bus and no provision for our return. We were in an area with no taxis. Another tour group had to wait 3/4 hour for one of the busses to do shuttle duty to the centre of the city and then to return. We were lucky to get on with them. We arrived back at our hotel 1 hour later than we should have.

Don't go here- you could be stranded in the middle of a very dark, empty quarter of Granada- and the owners don't care. I spoke to the shop owner who had sold us our tickets- nothing she could or would do.

We were steered to this show by the parador when we told them we wanted to book Zoraya flamenco. They insisted that this tan.eau flamenco was more authentic was and that the dinner package was not to be missed. The show turned out to be below average, the performers quite young, and all looked very bored at having to entertain the audience, though the women singers were good. We were the only guests at dinner, which was not very good, though there was a nice view of the Alhambra. The dinner package was euro 62 per person, which was almost double the cost of other shows. On top of that, we were the only guests that did not arrive by minivan. Busloads of Japanese tourists arrived shortly before the show. Upon returning to the hotel afterwards, I looked up the reviews on tripadvisor and found them to be ranked 47th. In addition, I checked the website and saw that there was no price mentioned and that they obviously cater to large tour groups as the website states that minibuses will pick guests up from their hotel. So the entire business is driven by the hotels in question, which must be getting a big kick-back. Since we didn't get picked up by minivan, the evening cost us an extra 30 euros cab fare to and from the venue. We were so disappointed with the experience and with the deception by the hotel that we left the next morning without ever having visited the Alhambra!

We like Flamenco and have seen many shows over the years. When we are on a tour and one is advertised, we usually try to go.

Going to this one was a big mistake. It was certainly not the best Flamenco show we have ever seen but, even if it had been, it would not have been enjoyable because of the appalling seating conditions. Chairs are arranged around three sides of the small stage. Some have a restricted view because of pillars. But worst of all was that the chairs used are straight back dining type chairs that are placed in rows with no gaps between the chairs, so that you can hardly move your arms, and with the rows so close together that your knees are jammed into the back of the seat in front. It was not only uncomfortable but dangerous. If there had been a fire it would have been a nightmare trying to get out.

The one waiter taking orders for drinks was a rude and surly individual. There was no way he could actually serve drinks to most people and they had to be passed from person to person to reach their intended recipients. Once you finally got a drink you had to hold on to it, as there was no where to put it down.

Although there appeared to be air conditioning, it was not used so that it was also uncomfortably hot.

In my view, this place is just one big tourist rip-off. My advice is don’t go!

I took my wife tomThe Alhambra Palace Hotel in Granada for her birthday, and decided to purchase tickets for the show " and dinner"...now, we don't complain much..but this was poor...we arrived there 45 mins before the "dinner" schedule (2100hrs) to find the place half full, everyone on primary school wooden chairs, no sign of dinner..the place was pretty much filled to capacity..one waiter giving you your included drink, shoulder to shoulder with everyone else...This place was the, according to most reviews, the much-heralded Tablao Flamenco, best in town they said...well not for me. The flamenco dancers's dresses looked worn, their tights were ripped at the feet...oh, and the "dinner"? At the end of the show, we got led down to a restaurant not too far away, and had it there, nothing like what was advertised on the website, salad was nice, but the experience was an absolute waste of time. Don't waste your money on this place.

Having done coach tours for 10 yrs & on the Andalucia Tour I always took my clients there ! These dancers are highly professional , having trained for many years & dancing since they were children ! The singers of "jonto" & the musicians expecially the flautist are superb ! This is the real traditional gypsy flamenco , danced from the heart & soul & the dancers control the musicians ! The dancers are full of fire & a natural passion , the stage is first class to see the most breathtaking & mesmurising footwork only a foot away if sitting on the front row & the seats are typically low normal which are used by the real genuine flamenco dancers, singers or musicians ! I strongly disagree with some of the reviews you have posted ! I went there on a very regular basis & I can assure you if it was a bad show I would not have taken my clients there ! & it is not designed just for tourists ! Classical flamenco which I also adore is very different the music controls the dancers ! Perhaps I am biased as I've known some of the gypsies for 30 years , but my clients always enjoyed the show too ! Just felt I had to give you my point of view !

This was billed as dinner and show. After arriving early for our designated time we were instructed to wait outside for a minibus to take us to dinner. After more waiting and no minibus, the manager spoke with the driver of a motor-coach which had just dropped off a tourist group. (It was now 9pm and we were scheduled for a 10pm show) We were instructed to get on the motor-coach which drove us to a small cafeteria with buffet style food that was mediocre at best. The driver waited for us and then drove us back to the facility where we arrived at 9:50 and were told our viewing of the show was now going to be 10:30. (Thankfully it was a beautiful night) There were few people in attendance so the tightly packed seats were not an issue for us, although we did have difficulty breathing through all the Lysol they sprayed about after the crowded show before ours. We enjoyed the dancing, but as this was our first time experiencing flamenco dancing we have nothing to compare it to.

I advice you all to go there! Not only the show was amazing, but more before and after the show I made the greatest photos ever! The view, the streets around, the Algambra! That was just breathtaking! Loved it!
