Visit cathedral before the Basilica. The organ here is amazing as is the alter and the surrounding chapels. The rest of the cathedral although grand in stature is quite grey which the Basilica isn’t. They are in walking distance to each other.

Another wonderful cathedral to visit when you visit Granada. There was a nominal fee to get in and wander around. You can download the audio guide which was very informative. What surprised me the most was the size of the pillars which were enormous. Would just take it all in leisurely as you enjoy the solitude of being in an incredible cathedral. Would definitely return in the future. Enjoy.

Free to enter, the baroque style cathedral is worth a short visit. The ceiling is quite nice and space inside the church is also interesting. Cathedral is next to the royal chapel which houses tombs, coffins and very old religious artwork!

During our recent stay in Torremolinos in january 2024, we made an excursion to Granada via our dutch tour operator (via a touring bus with local guides). Before visiting Fort Alhambra in the afternoon, we stopped in Granada for a few hours. We were glad we went inside this huge cathedral to have a good look. There was free wifi as well. It was definitely worth the 5 euros per person entrance fee. Recommended✌✌✌✌✌

Beautiful cathedral. Clearly an important part of Granada’s history and its citizens faith. Beautiful artwork and statues however as an atheist living in a society on its knees from the cost of living, charging people entry given the sheer wealth inside, is so utterly distasteful frankly.

The cathedral is well worth a visit, and the small entry fee (6€). Use the free wifi and download the audio tour on your phone, it is well worth doing as it adds so much to the experience. There is a good amount to see and just for once a church that is light and bright, so you can see everything without having to squint, which make for a more enjoyable experience.

This cathedral is quite phenomenal inside, a real surprise because its exterior is not impressive at all. Inside there is a wonderfully designed space, surrounded by an impresssive range of religious alcoves. Phenomenal exhibition of large decorated medieval choir books.

The Granada Cathedral was definitely worth the time and expense to experience, even without all the local tour guides and brochures hyping it. The significance of it being the first church built in Spain after Granada was recaptured from the Muslims, and on the exact location where the Great Mosque of Granada had stood, made the Cathedral a must-see monument. As cathedrals go, we were not overly impressed with all the showy glitter and expensive decor because every cathedral we have visited worldwide has had some claim to fame in this regard. However, there were some stunning works of art, the structure itself was massive and, of course, let us not overlook the famous occupants in the Royal Chapel.

Gorgeous cathedral in the wonderful city of Granada! Like so many other historical churches in Europe, it is definitely worth the trip to see such a beautiful site. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit here!
