This is a massive defensive gate. Built in the 11th century by the Nasrids to defend the northern part of the Alhambra. It has a path that doubles back on itself, a fine of example of military architecture. Sadly, the gate has fallen into ruins and the gates are full of graffiti and inside the gates, the courtyard seems to be a dumping ground.
