Unfortunately for us, we came across this bar on the last evening of our short break on a quiet night in early March. We had intended having an early night but plans soon changed during our first drink in there. Being fellow bikers and rock fans, we were soon engrossed in full conversation with the owner. After a few rounds more, we had to reluctantly leave pledging we will go back when we are next in town.
Great atmosphere and welcoming. A must for rock fans!

We were recently in Torremolinos recently & walked into "IronHorse " & had the good luck of meeting the helpful ( and generous ) owner Barry.He played our favorite songs, guided us on our shopping & nite life. We spent 3 evenings at the Iron Horse & throughly enjoyed ourself.

We read the mostly positive reviews on trip advisor. As a result myself and my partner took a chance on visiting The Iron Horse Saloon. The bar itself is small with a straight forward layout. Decoration was again straight forward & nothing fancy but ok. It was slightly expensive. Its classed as a rock bar. Nope ! On arrival we were met with cheesy disco music. We then met the owner Barry.
That's when the fun began. I'm being diplomatic but the guy is an arrogant and ignorant man. He was over opinionated and made it clear he wasn't interested generally. He seemed more interested in other things than his bar. After looking my partner up and down like a complete letch he then continued to give his unwanted opinions. Its a shame as his staff seemed great. We came back the next night (stupid I know) this time his attitude was even worse. My partner asked for a Mojito. His response was " we dont do them and I cant ber bothered to make one anyway" Seriously that's what he said! Needless to say we never returned. Don't be fooled by Trip Advisor its not a real proper rock bar and Barry is not a nice person. Stay clear in our opinion.

Hi, thank you for taking time to review our bar and I am truly sorry it did not meet with your expectations at this time. We value everyone's opinion even the ones we don't like - how else can we ensure that everyone leaves wanting to come back?
We are first and foremost a rock bar, however, I accept that at times the music selection can go a bit astray and not be to everyone's taste. I actively encourage every visitor to voice an opinion at the time and make requests/suggestions, if I did not do this with yourselves I can only apologise.
We feel that our pricing is comparative to other bars and appropriate for a 'music bar', in fact we have some offers which are hard to beat including the largest range of house cocktails in town, at 5 euros each or two for 9 euros and I'm sorry if the way I responded to the Mojito was in any way taken without the humour it is normally offered; we offer over 40 cocktails on our lists, and a further 200 off list, and that particular one has become a bit of a 'house joke' and an elephant in the room - I am sorry you did not perceive it this way and, after reading your comments, I shall address the situation.
I am quite shocked to hear that my attitude was taken in any way other than good natured. Not everybody can get along with everybody else - that is what makes us human. I always try to do my best and make every one of our visitors feel like friends and family, I'm sorry if this did not work for you and if I caused any offence, I'm afraid I cannot apologise enough. We discovered Ironhorse on our first night in Torremolinos. We had previously been in another bar but I don't think they were interested on putting on music or Karaoke. We had one drink and left. On discovering Ironhorse we were immediately made to feel welcome, even though the bar was very busy. The young lady behind the bar offered us free shots with our first drink, and the music was in full flow. The music and karaoke was run by Barry who we later found to be the bar owner.
The atmosphere in Ironhorse was such that you never noticed the time fly by. We returned back to Ironhorse every night of our recent holiday.
Our second visit was the evening of our Wedding Anniversary and although not a shot drinker one or two were consumed that evening. Another couple announced their engagement that night so the party was in full flow.
The range of cocktails has to be seen to be believed and Barry managed to build one we had not seen in 5 years well done mate.
There is substantial seats inside the bar with a large terrace outside toilets where clean and replenished as required.
No matter what your taste in drink, no matter what your taste in music Ironhorse provides in abundance.

On my visit to Torremolinos I fancied a change from all commercial and tatty bars so I asked around and lots of locals point me to the Ironhorse Rock Bar. On arrival we were welcomed by the owner Barry . This place is really unique from the rest of the bars we visited. Whether you like rock music , metal or even lady gaga he has it all ( haha). We only went in for a few and ended up staying until the end ( that tells you how much we enjoyed). Drinks are not overpriced, friendly atmosphere, you can even play darts or do karaoke if you feel brave :) If I ever visit Torremolinos again, this bar would definitely be one to return to on my holidays. Recommending to all!

good central bar with some much needed music and a good host. Visited several nights on a recent break and they are attracting a range of Spanish and foreign nationals keen to watch the heavy metal videos or occasional Karaoke. Open late so good if you want a nightcap.

Had read the reviews and being a rock fan decided to give it a go. We struggled to find it originally but were glad we persevered. It's still early season so there was only us in the bar so Barry played exactly what we wanted, rock, soul, karaoke. 2 other people came in and we had an absolute ball. Thanks Barry we will definitely return if we are in the area again.

Hi, according to Google maps we are 950m from your hotel and a 12 minute walk. Your hotel is by the sea so your best route is to leave your hotel and head to the beach. Once facing the beach turn right and head to a restaurant called Casa Antonio, on the beach front. Almost opposite that is a small street which is all shops, this takes you up away from the beach. After a short while the street becomes pedestrians only and you start to climb some very easy steps (lots of shops all the way up). At the top of the steps the street widens out with more shops and bars. Keep walking straight ahead until you come to a cross roads with a normal road... turn left, you are now on Calle Casablanca. Stay on this road, you cross over another crossroad junction and then we are approx 70m on the right. The sign above the bar says Music Bar (it also says Ironhorse but slightly smaller).
We look forward to seeing you, when are you planning on coming to Torre?

Kids of all ages are welcome in the bar and on the karaoke, darts or pinball... we can even make them their very own non-alcoholic cocktails and shots.

Hi Estelle, thanks for your message... simple answer, YES...NO...YES
We are open every day of the year unless there is an unforeseen problem which prevents this. Montemar, depending which part you are staying in, is not too far from the bar. Montemar railway station is one stop from Torremolinos central, which is two minutes walk round thecorner from the bar. Alternatively, Montemar is a short 6 euro taxi ride away.Everything in the bar is on one level, there is a single step into the bar but we have a ramp for easy access.
