About
The bodega is situated on a hill at an altitude of 350m and 15 km from the Mediterranean Sea. In 2008 we started on 1 hectare a small vineyard with 3 types of grapes, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. We don't use chemical pesticides or artificial fertilizers and don't add yeast or sulphite. We do not filter the wine crystal clear in order to maintain their optimal flavour and colour. From 2018 we only grow Chardonnay. We are not a commercial vineyard, but show and explain how white and red wine is made. At the wine tasting, we taste the chardonnay and 2 red wines that we have produced in recent years. Visits by appointment for a tour and a tasting.

Visited with our family while in Marbella area. What a great tour and experience. Rene & Marjolijn took it in turns to share details of their journey in to creating their dream and what a journey it has been. We spent 3 great hours chatting to this amazing couple and tasted their wines with a few nibbles on the side.
It’s only a small vineyard so you won’t be walking for a long time but wear some comfy shoes. My wife is not a wine drinker but she loved the tour and even enjoyed sampling the wines.
Highly recommend this tour to anyone who likes the odd glass of wine of would like to find out more about how it is made.

My wife and I have visited many wineries with tours and tasting all over the place, but the visit at the small family owned Remsamen Bodega surpassed our earlier experiences. The hosts, Marjelijn and Rene', gave us a both personal and knowledgeable presentation and tour about the history of the winery, their own experiences and, of course, the secrets of wine making. So much the better that their wines were both good and affordable and were savoured together with some cheese, salami and quiche. We can warmly recommend a visit at Remsamen Bodega👍

Thoroughly enjoyed this vineyard experience and fully agree with all the other 5 star reviews. Rene & Marjolijn made the tour great fun and really informative rounding, they were very friendly and welcoming and finished it off with a tasting session of three very good wines they had produced (along with accompanying snacks). We all learnt so much about vines and making wine. The tour wasn’t rushed at all and the three hours we spent flew by with Mark & Elmera from Finland who joined us.
Would highly recommend anyone in the area visiting. Thank you very much Rene & Marjolijn!

We wanted a place to celebrate our anniversary, and as we both like wine, I wanted to surprise my wife with this visit, but I had to tell her. This was such an amazing place. We learned so much about the whole process of making wine, put across in such a friendly and knowledgable way that the time just flew. Right through the the tasting and snacks we learned even more. We can not praise this place enough, we had a great anniversary afternoon and of course took some bottles away. The tour, tastings and snacks cost 7.50 which in my opinion is cheap, you can not go wrong. I recommend calling for reservation and to get the directions. All the emails I got were very clear.

This isn't a "normal" wine tour. It is the story of a how a delightful Dutch couple decided on a change of lifestyle in Spain. Their built their house and planted the vines - only to be defeated in recent years by Spanish bureaucracy. However, they remain undaunted and are upbeat. They tell the story of how they got there and there struggle to produce the wines they wanted. A very interesting story - and probably the smallest winery we have ever visited. Fantastic 360 degree views, nice wine and lovely folk. Thanks.

We have always wanted to visit a winery, and were happy when we found this one. It’s close to calahonda, Mijas costa, where we’re staying. We had great directions how to get there and the drive was beautiful. The property was stunning and we learned so much about wine making, in a relaxed and comfortable setting. It was a great afternoon and we recommend this wine tour, great experience

Highly recommend few hours in the hills above Monda. The hosts are welcoming, well informed. Can't recommend this place more highly! You'll come away with a new found appreciation for wine making. Possibly the best activity we have done in Spain over the last few years. Thanks for a great day

I have done several winery tours before, and this was the most in-depth and interesting. The hosts do most of the wine production themselves and have a deep understanding of all aspects of the process. The tasting was more social and relaxed than most wineries.

A totally unique experience at this boutique winery. There is much to learn from winemakers who are passionate about their work. They started the vineyard from scratch and the story is fascinating.

The wines are distinctive, lovingly crafted and have great potential. We tasted them all on a terrace surrounded by the Sierra de Nieves mountains.
