One of the few cultural treasures you can find in Marbella. This museo holds paintings and sculptures of some of the most interesting artists from Latinamerica. An unexpected jewel! Have been there right the day before lock-down and would love to go back.

This is one of the most fabulous art galleries we’ve ever been to. We were taken completely by surprise at the extent and quality of the collection and the delightful way this small— but not minuscule— museum is laid out. It is light and airy and the groupings of largely but not entirely Latin American surrealist art make this a pleasure to wander through and then wander through again. A marvellous collection, some a joy to look at simply for their visual effect, some for their message, and many for their humour and humanity. You do NOT need to be an art- lover to enjoy this, but it may make you one! Indeed, this would be a great place to take children as the colourfulness and whimsy and fabulous over-sized sculptures are bound to enchant them. Easy and quick access by bus from the Marbella town centre and it’s steps from the beach, so bring your beachwear for a stroll or a swim afterwards! And it’s free— they won’t even accept a donation.

A fabulous museum between Marbella and Puerta Banus (on bus routes 1 and 8). Free entrance and plenty to see. Very quiet when we were there so able to take our time and enjoy the art works. Particularly liked the sculptures. Well worth a trip.

We found out about this attraction completely by chance in a random tourist booklet. Certainly not flagged up or even mentioned by our hotel (Monarque Sultan) or our Jet2 rep. The museum is a short bus ride from Marbella, or you could walk there along the prom, or catch the catamaran to Puerto Banus. Really well set out and air conditioned, this FREE (We'd gladly have paid an admission charge.) gallery houses contemporary art and sculptures. If you want any more details, let me know. A real treasure and not to be missed. There were only four other visitors when we went. It deserves to be recognised.

Well worth a visit to this gallery. It was very quiet, which is a shame as it provides a different experience on this holiday destination.
