Marbella is crowded but oh so much better than Puerto Banus down the road. The town is very much tourist central but relatively pleasant none the less. Restaurants and shopping is plentiful and a great place to spend an evening sitting over a meal in an overcrowded restaurant watching the cops chase away the street hawkers

Been to the Costa del Sol more times than I can remember and Marbella BUT NEVER the old town, which now seems ridiculous, as it's gorgeous! A September visit was probably perfect, as its not too crowded in the lovely meandering streets & narrow passages. There are probably over 100 interesting restaurants & bars plus the usual shops BUT there... More

Numerous restaurants to choose from, the hidden gem we found was The secret garden restaurant! It was off one of the main passageways and you would describe it a looking like a smallBodega, but once inside you go down some steps into an enchanting open aired courtyard surrounded on all side by high whitewashed walls. The menu was a little... More

We enjoyed three hours in this lovely place with coffee, churches and the most beautiful old houses!

We went to dinner in Old Marbella in August and loved walking around here. There are many shops, restaurants, gelato places, squares etc. It is very scenic and fun to do at night. We ate at a restaurant called Buenaventura which was very good.

Well preserved small area around Orange Square is a welcome oasis from the modern day Marbella. Nice cafes, restaurants and shops. We rarely stray from this area when we visit as it is cooler and more interesting with the warren of small paths and places to stop and relax.

We spent a lovely few hours here in the streets of the old town, many bars and restaurants and narrow cobbled streets and piazzas very pretty worth the visit ...must be especially lovely in the evening but our hotel was too far away to get there again for an evening visit but I expect very pretty by night also.

Great restaurants and shopping. Marbella is a must if you are vacationing in Costa del Sol, 5 minute walk from the beach and paid parking lots.

Firstly I would love to start by telling you all a bit about myself. I am a terminally ill 23 year old who loves to travel and has a motto of #YOLO (you only live once) however despite having travelled all over the world something keeps drawing me back to Marbella. I use a rather heavy Powerchair to get around... More
