As It was still winter, most shops were still closed. Apparently its open only for summer. Tipical winter coastal city.

It seems to be a small harbor for fishing boats and small pleasure craft. It is not very interesting, but the beaches on either side of it are less crowded than the more popular beaches to the west.

Not very many nice boats in this port as it’s old and not same quality as Puerto Banus. Interesting none the less.

When imagining Marbella you’d no doubt be thinking of expensive “gin palaces” lining an upmarket marina. Well unfortunately you’d be wrong here - the harbour is small and unattractive with mainly small craft and a few summer tourist vessels shut up for winter. You don’t even need to walk into the port area to get a view of what there is, just look across from the parking area rooftop terrace along promenade and save some shoe leather. Even the lighthouse is on inland side of promenade. I guess the place you’re actually imagining is Puerto Banus around 10km further south down the coast.

The marina here in Marbella is smaller than some others on the Costa del Sol, but it is still worth having a look round at all the boats moored here, this is also the place where you get the catamaran for a sea trip to Porto Banus. Worth a visit.

Hi, Marbella marina as a yacht owner is a pass do not leave your vessel in there. Repeat do not dock there, Puerto Banus a better port but so over priced it's a joke and be careful while out partying as not the most safe place.
If you are a yacht owner I would give the whole area a miss to be honest. If you have done a crossing better to refuel etc in Gibraltar then keep sailing. If you do need to pull in try Cabopino at least you get good service and a good shipyard. Trouble is only very small. Larger vessels try and reach Malaga.
