Coronavirus De-escalation and some of the museums open. We visited the Carmen-Thyssen and the Picasso Museum. This one has been the highlight. Easy access, open and well lit exhibits in different spaces. No lengthy discourses, just right for experiencing interesting concepts.

Free to enter and slightly off the main tourist trail, the art gallery looks less than impressive from the outside but is quite striking form within with a very large gallery space displaying special exhibitions and a more limited range of other works. The special exhibition in march 2020 was Carlos Leon’s Tomando Distancia - Keeping One’s Distance – quite appropriate for the outbreak of COVID-19!…

This is a nice medium sized contemporary art museum, which exhibits the city's own collection as well as showing temporary exhibitions. There is no entrance fee, and the front desk staff are friendly and quite knowledgeable. I wonder who puts out the fake news of it being closed, and even more that TripAdvisor swallows it without checking.…

This is a good modern art museum and there is no entry fee. I would recommend visiting this museum as they have some very good art.

A little out of the main centre but easy to find and its free entrance. A nice cafe attached. The exhibition space is fantastic - its huge so pictures easy to see. The exhibition on my visit was called Dracula and it was really superb. A wonderful person on the welcome desk. Deffo worth a visit it is superb…
