Picked up from our accommodation bright and early then sped over the hills to Ronda where our day of wine tasting and fantastic vistas lay ahead. Danny, our guide for the day, was fantastic .... extremely friendly and knowledgeable and most of all patient with us all as the wine started to flow!! Both vineyards (Chinchilla and Garcia Hidalgo) were outstanding with excellent wine and food.... too much of the latter in fact (nearly asked for a doggy bag!) and a real heart-warming passion for their business. Included in our day was a 2-hour stop off at Ronda town itself which is a must see as the views up there are breathtaking! There were 3 couples on our tour making it ideal to be able to fully appreciate the surroundings and listen to the vineyard owners without being crammed in small spaces and moved along like cattle! Trippy Vines themselves have a policy of no more than 8 people per tour in fact. Tasted 4 wines per vineyard and ended up buying 4 bottles to take home (these I hasten to add were by no means pressure sales by the owners at all ... in fact we had to ask if any of the ones we had tasted were for sale!) All in all an extremely pleasurable and memorable day ...... can't wait for our next visit out there soon!!

Spent the day with Dani visiting two wineries and Ronda. Dani picked us up on time, all organized via e-mail because we did not have a phone (Vanessa promptly answered all our questions). Dani was a great driver and knowledgeable about the area's wine industry. The owners of the wineries served great food and ample wine for tasting. The time in Ronda was adequate to walk around and visit the bull ring. Most enjoyable day out of Malaga city. Would highly recommend. Service like this is highly appreciated. My daughter and I did a day trip with TrippyVines and I can't recommend it enough. I have tasted wine in Napa, Ontario and the Alsace and, while no expert, am very impressed with Spanish wines. We were picked up promptly and were joined by a lovely couple with whom we shared great food, wine and stories. I love the small wineries in Ronda and am particularly impressed with their old school ways and naturally organic wine making. I'm still upset with myself that I didn't buy a bottle from the first winery, but am holding on to the bottles I did buy for a special occasion. The highlight of our day was the fantastic lunch provided by the third winery we visited. They even catered to our need for gluten free food such that we were able to eat almost everything (we were so full by dessert that we didn't miss having the cake). While wine tasting in North America is pretty easy to do oneself, in Spain it would be very difficult to find and choose the wineries to visit. And, of course, without speaking Spanish we would have missed out on so much great information and conversation with the winemakers. Go with an appetite and enjoy a fantastic day!

We took the two wines and visit to Ronda tour. Our driver was Kelly from the marketing division.
Pick up was at our hotel. The frist winery we visited gave us smaple of thee wines and varuious tapas. We were also taken on a tour of the winery.
Next we were given two hours to explore Ronda. We would have like some info about the city from the driver but none was given.
At the next winery we have lunch. And four more red wine were sampled. The day was very long .
Driver was helpful in pointing out places that we were going to next.

Thanks for the feedback, and yes, Ronda maps are a good idea. The schedule is always clearly communicated beforehand, however that day is the day we got stuck in the snow and due to the road closure we were unfortunately forced to take the long detour home on the only available alternative route. And I also seem to recall that you also asked to be shown the location of the Puerto Banus bull ring (and thereby skipping your hotel drop off until last). The Trippy Team.

My family (ages 21-60) came to visit me as I am living on the costa del sol for a year and as we are big into wines and have done wine tastings and vineyard tours around the world, I wanted to plan one for their visit in southern Spain. We did the 2 bodega tour, Ronda visit, along with lunch at the second bodega. The price per person was steep but for a private tour I considered it to be worth it. BUT.. On the morning of the tour, we were asked to be ready at 7:30 am and when we met our driver were informed we would then be driving from Malaga to Marbella to pick up another couple who would be accompanying us on the tour. Never before had we been informed of this and as we were already a group of five, I didn't anticipate having more people on our tour. Driving from Malaga to Marbella is 45 minutes and more than that the drive from Marbella to Ronda is MUCH more car-sick inducing than the ride from Malaga to Ronda. I planned this trip with the anticipation that we would be driving from Malaga to Ronda. By the end of the day we were full and tired but then had to drop off the other couple in Marbella first before we could go home. I felt like I was on a carpool and we would have been fine with that if the price per person had been cut in half. Too pricey for the service received from trippy vines.

With regards to your feedback it appears that you still had a great time on your tour, even though you did not specifically request a private tour for your family. It is important to add that the boutique family-run bodegas are very welcoming of our small groups, and as there is a lot of preparation for each visit and intimate lunch served from their own kitchen, for this highly personal experience we do really like to support each cellar with groups of usually 6-8 guests. Regarding the travel arrangements, we go the extra mile to offer pickup from your doorstep, which is far more convenient than a central pickup point for all our guests. The pickups are always arranged in order along the way to Ronda, starting in Malaga. Your other comments refer to the distance to Ronda (and travel sickness), both things of which we have absolutely no control. During our initial correspondence we did clearly state that we will be driving via the Serrania de Ronda, a mountain range which is in between Marbella and Ronda. Having lived on The Costa for a year, we are surprised that you are complaining about the geography of Andalusia. Following your feedback, we have now added some advisory text for future guests who may suffer from travel sickness.

Kelly is an awesome tour guide. Im so thankful for the experience he gave my family on this tour! We used him twice. His big van was great for a large family like mine. It was a really nice tour and great to see another area of spain besides where we stayed.

Just wanted to thank Vanessa & Kelly from the bottom of our hearts for our lovely day in Malaga & Ronda, Spain! We had a very large group and all of our transportation was cool and comfortable and on time! When we arrived at our first winery we were greeted by beautiful landscapes and a gorgeous winery. We had a very informative tour and delicious Tapas and Vino. The day continued to be spectacular with another winery stop where we had more delicious Tapas and watched our Paella being cooked in an authentic manner. Oh, and did I mention the wonderful wine? Ronda was a gorgeous town with the deepest gorges and canyons and quaint little towns. We truly loved our trip. Thank you again, Vanessa!!

Thank you Vanessa for organizing the perfect day trip for our wine group! Our large group (about 50 guests) all had an amazing time going to 2 wineries and Ronda! The bus you provided was cool and comfortable. Thank you Kelly for being our guide. Just wish we had more time to explore Ronda...but appreciate you getting us back to the ship in plenty of time! Vanessa, you are very organized and wonderful to work with! Cheers!

My wife and I did the 2 wine and Ronda tour. It was a fantastic day out. Kelly picked us up on time along with 2 other couples. Lunch at the Alcobacin winery was excellent, run by a fantastic couple, all the fruits/vegetables home grown, the local food just kept on coming. The wine as expected was excellent. Thanks Kelly for a great day out and Vanessa for the seamless organisation. We are looking forward to another trip.
