This is probably one of the oldest churches in Málaga. You don't give much for it seeing it from the outside, buy inside you'll have very beautiful art and architecture. Picasso was baptized here and the certificate is on public display.

The Church of Santiago is the oldest church in Malaga and was built in 1490. Pablo Ruiz Picasso, the brilliant painter who revolutionised 20th century art, was baptised here in 1881 at the baptismal font.

The Church of Santiago is the oldest church in Malaga. It was constructed in 1490. The church is located on a central street, so it is easy to get to. The most interesting thing to see in this church is the baptismal font at one corner, and it was where Picasso was baptized.

During our visit we passed by the Church of Santiago, famous for the fact that Picasso was baptized in this church in 1881. It is located at Calle Granada and you easily mis it in the small streets. We found it, but unfortunately the church was closed, so we only could admire the outside. The oldest church of Malaga is... More

It has a mudejar tower and inside there is a mix of Mudejar and Gothic styles. It also has a large wooden door with what looks like breasts on it. I thought it was my imagination until I saw the willy shapes too!

This Church of Santiago is an interesting church. It is located on Calle Granada and near the Plaza de la Merced, both of which have plenty of pedestrian traffic. However few people enter this church. Actually it is the oldest church in Malaga, founded in 1490. The tower has a square form and has the Mudejar style. The most important... More

Thousands of people pass Calle Granada every day but very few people visit this church. That is too bad because it is historic and is the oldest church in Malaga. The baptismal font was used to baptize Picasso, who was born in the nearby Plaza de la Merced.

The Church of Santiago is at Calle Granada, 78, and was built on the site of a former mosque. It is Malaga's oldest church, having been founded on 1490. Of the original façade only the Mudejar style central entrance remains (boarded up). The beautiful tower is Mudejar and has a square form. The interior of the temple was originally Gothic-Mudejar...
