Thursday 18th April and we visited this hilltop Fortress which overlooks the City of Malaga. We walked up the zig-zag pathway starting at Subida Coracha.

However, our descent was by a different route which took through these delightful gardens.

The stone paved pathway led is gently back down to the City, alongside the Jardines de Pedro Luis Alonso and the beautiful Ayuntamiento de Malaga (City Hal).

As we slowly walked down the tree lined pathway we saw some colourful flowers, a vast array of trees, bushes and a variety of palm trees.

There was also a water feature that was fed by a water spout protruding from the wall and surrounded by pink trailing plants.
Stone benches lined the pathway through these clean and well maintained gardens.

Beautiful, green garden, between the Town Hall and the rock of the Alcazaba. It was designed in 1937, by the architect Fernando Guerrero-Strachan Rosado. It includes, among others, cypresses, palms, pines, jacarandas and boucavilleas. It offers a great break from the hot Andalusian sun.

These are beautiful, almost tropical gardens in central Malaga, under the alcazaba overlooking the bullring, excellent when it's hot
