Hidden treasure inside an alleyway...tucked away in the thriving city of Malaga.

As you walk, your head will suddenly turn as a hidden delight emerges in front of your eyes.

Inside, the church is a church. Cool and nice but outside is definitely a feast for your eyes in the sun.

A wonderful building to see, inside and out, couldn't find it at first, down the alleyways in the middle of the old town.
Stunning inside and well worth a visit.

This Neo-Gothic church is located next to the Thyssen Museum at San Ignacio de Loyola Square in the Old Town of Malaga.

The church was completed in 1920. The beautiful interior is divided into three naves and covered by a rib vault.

We loved this church. It is stunning inside and no expense has been spared in bringing back to its very glory.

In the middle of the city, right besides the Thyssen museum, this church is a nice surprise for the visitor. Recently renovated, it looks awesome from the outside. The quiet and peaceful atmosphere in the inside, and the beautiful architecture and stained glass windows, allow the visitor to take a moment to enjoy a feeling of great peace and inner tranquility.

All the churches are churches-museums. This was very ornate and good one to see. Malaga is a great town.

This church we visited it during a 2 hr Segway tour. Is beautiful. We did not go in, but we saw students from an elementary school walking out after their tour, so you can go in.

The church is close to the Plaza Constitution which is the heart of the city. Most of the shopping, food and good hotels are close to this area. Within walking distance you can view the history of Malaga. Sacred Heart is a tourist must and is open during the day without advance reservation.

The mass, at most last 30-45 minutes. The homilies have been beautiful and the ambiance is meditative.
