With this charter there is the time – and the space – to experience the real sailing. The exact course depends on the wind, tide and weather, but of course I can try to fulfil your wishes, like following the coast for example towards Marbella or look for dolphins in the direction of Gibraltar. Aboard ´the lonely star´ you will find all the things needed to make your charter adventure relaxing and enjoyable. The ship has a large swimming platform and ladder, fresh water shower, comfortable seating, refrigeration, comfortable cabin with galley. Masks, snorkels, fins and lifejackets are provided. Refreshments include free cold soft drinks, water, wine and beer. We can drop anchor and provide a light lunch – some cheese, ham, tuna salad and bread. We have a few extra options for you: -We could take the dinghy and sail to our favorite beach restaurant – La Floria, you will have an excellent lunch/dinner here with all kinds of fresh grilled or fried fish and excellent meat. -When you bring the fish or meat yourself we can have a barbecue on board. Perfect for days with little wind! -If you are thinking about having a stag or hen party, you might consider having one at sea, if needed we can arrange for a second boat to join. -If you are sick of the jellyfish on the beaches, come with us, out on the open sea there aren´t any! If you prefer a windy day let us know and we will find the best day for you!

A fantastic 66th birthday present. Robert was a star and was very helpful and informative. We are now planning a 3 day trip to Morocco.

What a super 3 days with Robert, we sailed from Estepona to Smir, stayed overnight in M'diq, day trip to Tetouan then sailed down to Cueta where we stayed overnight, then back to Estepona, we were so well looked after, I'd highly recommend Sailing The Straight.

We had an amazing afternoon trip from Estepona, just the five of us ( three kids 15,12,12) and spent a fantastic few hours at sea, swimming and floating in the donut , as well as the most amazing hour of dolphin pods swimming alongside us, and under our feet hanging over the side of the yacht. Our host was welcoming, and provided a platter of breads, ham and cheese and cold drinks, and we easy to chat to and really enjoyable company. All in a great experience and fully recommended.

+1
Great wind with attractive and sporty sailing. Perfect temperature to enjoy the good food, drink, music and swimming/snorkelling. Fantastic views all the way to Gibraltar and Morocco. Just the right waves to enjoy the rubber donut float behind the boat. And last but not least some useful “sailing lessons” for the kids! Thanks Robert for an unforgettable day for the whole family. We will repeat!

A few years ago I went with ´sailing the strait´ on a day trip, this time we chose for a longer trip. The 4 of us went for a weekend to Ceuta to dive. We left on friday evening and had a great sail over the Strait with loads of dolphins. We had a few beers and tapas in Ceuta town before spending the night on board. We did two beautiful dives on Saturday and one on Sunday morning. On Sunday evening we were back again. This was a very relaxing weekend and will definitely do this again. Captain Robert is a very easy going guy who has everything you could possibly want on board.
