Amazing horses, sure footed, fit and keen. My steed was a gallant gentleman. The hidden valleys, lush forests, cool rivers and dramatic scenery provided a holiday of a lifetime. Karen is a fund of local information, knows all the local people. She has spent years building up relationships and finding the best trails. The accommodation and food were both excellent,... More

A Ride Andalucia holiday is like stumbling upon a magical adventure, hidden away in stunningly dramatic and spectular countryside just inland of the Southern coast of Spain. Just 45 minutes drive from the built-up, urban centre of Gibraltar, the winding road to the horses reveals epic and lushly forested mountains unfolding in front of your eyes, with scenery akin to... Wow! Where do I begin? I have never experienced a riding tour before, so wasn't sure quite what to expect in terms of what the horses would be like, what the accommodation would be like and whether I would cope with the riding as it's been a while since I have done any serious riding! I was immediately put at... More

As a bit of a novice rider, I was a little nervous about riding over mountains and narrow trails but nerves were very soon forgotten. Karen's horses are amazing, they are so sure footed and calm, real confidence givers. Before long you are able to let the horse take responsibility for the ride while you take in the the stunning... My husband and I took a short 2 hour ride with Karen (the owner) last week and had a wonderful time. I am experienced and my husband a safe novice and it was perfect for us both. The horses were lovely, the ride very relaxed and Karen is clearly very experienced. We did a short ride but she specialises in... More

Just returned from a 4 day tour with Karen and her wonderful horses. We rode through cork forests, on old smugglers trails and along paths bordered by wild lavender and sweet peas. In fact the countryside was bursting with colour and scent! A perfect time of year to visit. The horses are amazing, fit and beautifully trained. They obviously love... More

Having recently returned from my 9th trip with Ride Andalucía, I cannot speak more highly about what’s on offer: • Beautiful and varied scenery to ride through • A very experienced guide who knows the area, its history and traditions • Comfortable overnight accommodation along the routes (for the horses too!) • Delicious local food • Nice long riding days... What an amazing ride on very sure footed, well schooled horses through the mountains surrounding Gaucin. The natural rock gardens of lavender and rock roses shone like jewels in the sun, countered by shady goat tracks and Phoenician roadways through forests of cork oak and sweet chestnuts. Fabulous picnic in the shade beside the river and delicious tapas with a... More
