Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Cadiz and the bay. The city was so interesting and buzzing.. In the tranquil bay there was a series of lagoons where you can watch masses of flamingos in flight and numerous wading birds. A place where bird watchers could spend their full holiday.

This is an amazing place to see a large number of sea birds and waders. Osprey also present!. I did the Chiclana end of the reserve as this was near my villa, some beautiful birds including Flamingo, Black wing stilts, spoon bills, plovers of all kinds. Foot paths are reasonably maintained.

This is so close to the sancti petri village that it is definitely worth the visit. You have to go around the time of sunset using plentiful insect repellent (to be on the safe side) and you are going to be amazed with the result. Hundreds of birds of all types and beautiful colours reflecting off the water. I'm not... More
