The market is quite good to buy fresh food, but I really like it to go for tapas with friends. You can find good local food and a very nice sushi place called Gadisushi.
If you are around, go. You will no regret it.
We hadn't researched Cadiz much on our visit and came across this market by accident.
Really good place with lots of good food shops and food stalls.
Some parts a bit grotty but felt very real Spain and with going to.

We did not notice any when we visited there. However, it is an open air market and there are so many places selling food for people to eat at the tables around the court and there are many that do. So it might make it uncomfortable to have a dog there unless you just plan to pass through. It's a fun place so enjoy.
