We did a walk from the hotel and first of all walked through the

Alameda Apodaca

Which is a small park on the way to Park Genoves and on to Caleta Beach. This is also well worth walking through, best in the cool of the morning or perhaps later in the day. Shaded, beautiful and well kept.

The Park Genoves is well worth walking through, lots of interesting plants and trees. Also there is a fountain sculpture of two children under an umbrella, which is worth stopping to look at. It has historical significance and has been restored. There is also the stunning main waterfall feature. Really relaxing shady walk.

We walked along the promenade on the seafront one Sunday morning and stopped in this lovely little botanical garden for breakfast. The small cafe was shaded and served a nice range of snacks, As our walk had already taken us through many of the parks and gardens Parque Genovese wasn't really that special and in fact would have been disappointing if it had been the sole reason for our walk.
It is a very nice, tidy and clean park which is not as magnificent nor as large as one would presume having read reviews, though it was an enjoyable part of the overall walk we took that day. The waterfall is small though the falling water is cooling.

We visited during a very damp day in January and apart from the park otself, everything was closed.

Very nice gardens with a wide variety of plants, schrubs and trees. Probably best to visit in late spring when everything is jn bloom.

A large damaged glass structure between the park and the beach does little to enhance what is a very pleasent area in the city and certainly detracts from the views across Cadiz Bay.

Recommended....without the rain.

We had a nice walk around the parque. We came on a day where the weather was a bit hit and miss, so we found the parque very blustery. I’m sure that on a nicer day we would have stayed longer.

Lovely artistry on the trees and nice waterfall feature in the centre.

A quiet park tucked away in the corner of the ancient city that has a lot of little places to find yourself lost in your own thoughts. The most relaxing attraction is the water fall that is towards the sea which is close to benches to take in the peaceful sounds. This is a for sure stop on any trip to Cadiz.

I remember visiting the park, on our first cruise quite a few years ago, and really enjoyed it. So when in port again, paid it a second visit.. Just as good as ever, from the "broccoli tree", the waterfalls where you can walk behind, all the benches to sit on, a small cafe, water features, topiary, a lovely place to just sit or stroll through

This park is full of trees from around the world. There are fountains throughout the park making it a beautifully cool place to walk when the sun is hot. There is a cafe, childrens play area and lots of benches to watch the world go by. There is also an artificial water cascade which has steps to the top where you have a great view out to sea. Tranquil spot for a bit of contemplation...or a coffee and cake.

Beautiful place to spend time on a sunny day. There are many cats within the park who look well cared for and fed which is nice. The cats are very unaffectionate which I usually wouldn’t mind but as a solo traveler, a little attention wouldn’t go astray (pun intended) 😸

Having walked the whole length of the town from the train station we visited the fort. Heading around the coast path we ran into this lovely little part full of unusual and interesting trees. Worth a half hour sit down with a sandwich.
