    Spectacular Bridge!
The Roman Bridge is magnificent! It is a symbol of Córdoba and has a great view of the Mosque-Cathedral and the city center. It was a long bridge built by the Romans over the Guadalquivir River. I highly recommend walking over it like I did.

    Stunning bridge! Great views.
Arrived in Cordoba by train from Seville, 1 hour and then 4 euros in a taxi to get to the main bridge. Absolutely stunning and a lovely walk into the medieval town with it's alleyways, cathedral with many bars, restaurants and shops. What an amazing place! Very hot though! Just at the end of the bridge is a tourist information kiosk which has toilets, air conditioning and charger points, don't miss it! The bridge has stunning views over the river and is worth a walk over to the other side.

    More than two millennia
Book ended by the great Plaza del Triunfo and Torre De Calahorra it is an historic treasure. It is attributed to the first Emperor, Augustus thus making it more than two millennia in duration. Fascinating to learn that for most of that span it was the only bridge in the city crossing the famous river, until the middle of the last century. It is a marvellous sight, with a multiplicity of arches in stone.

    Picturesque
This is a beautiful bridge. I wish we had more time in Cordoba so we could have seen it at night too. There were some local artists on the bridge the day we visited but sadly, our Globus tour did not even allow any time to visit the bridge, let alone shop. We used the 15 minute bathroom break to quickly see the bridge and dash across and get some photos....so glad we did!

1st century AD construction has withstood the test of time...
A self-guided walking tour of Old Town Cordoba and the Jewish Quarter eventually led us to the riverfront and the Roman Bridge. As with many things Roman, the construction dating back to the 1st century AD has withstood the test of time. The view back over the substantial bridge toward the ancient Cordoba city wall and Puerta Del Puente (Gate of the Bridge) was impresssive.

    Walk the bridge
Walk across the bridge - even though most of what is left is not Roman but Moorish, just the thought that i am walking across the place that the Romans built a bridge was amazing. Look over the side to see the arches! Look for the water wheels. Close your eyes and go back 2000 years!

    Awesome
The Roman Bridge is amazing and reminds me of the Charles Bridge in Prague, without the statues. Whilst originally Roman, its also part Moor as each occupier of the town has added its own bits. The arches are amazing and unsurprisingly covered in roosting pidgeons. On the old town side look out for the derelict waterwheel it makes a grest photo opportunity as does the Bridge itself.

    Come before sunset
Cordoba's Roman bridge is at the southern part of old town spanning the Guadalquivir river. It dates back to 1st cent when Romans built the initial one. However over the ages Moors left their marks and it was also several times refubrished from the Reconquista to present day. During the day it's not so pleasant to walk it in scorching heat, but evenings are the best when it's cooler and illuminated with spectacular views of Mezquita and old town.

The Roman Bridge of Cordoba dates back to the first century BC, so it's quite old, but the present structure is not really the original one, as it has been reconstructed a number of times since. Be that as it may it still looks magnificent. You can get some great views from the middle of the bridge, of the city and surrounding areas. Worth a visit.

Once you are done with the Cathedral-Mosque venture outside the complex towards the Guadalquivir River and the splendid Roman Bridge. At first glance it looks anything but Roman as during the centuries it has been rebuilt and refortified to preserve its existence but originally it was part of the Via Augusta.

On the city side Roman Bridge you have the Puerta del Puente (Bridge Gate), a Renaissance gate and on the other the Calahorra Tower, an Islamic fortified gate. It’s worth the walk along the bridge just to look back at the city of Cordoba and admire the view. Also its pedestrianised so you can have a pleasant traffic free stroll.

I recommend coming for sunset or in the evening as it comes alive with music and romance. Not to mention the lights add something special that you just don’t get during the day time. It’s a great place for an evening walk and people watching. Also, a great place to soak up the history of Córdoba.

Pretty cool to see structures standing that were built centuries ago serve their purpose well beyond what was expected of it. This bridge is a perfect photo opp. It’s wide and has plenty if space for lots of people and looks directly at the old mosque now cathedral. I didn’t get to see it at night but many say it’s the most picturesque because of the yellow lights and how they make the stones glow.

How many opportunities do you get to walk across a bridge built by the Romans more than 2000 years ago. To be fair, the bottom of the structure still dates from that time but much of the upper structure was redone by the Moors in the 10th century with some repairs and modifications since. But still......let’s just call it the Roman Bridge. Just a simple stroll both ways on the bridge and then a look from the riverside on the south side gives you a great perspective of the bridge and the city on the other side.

Some rather unusual facts are associated with this bridge. It dates from the early 1st century BC. The present version reflects work done by Arabs in the 8th century. It was the only bridge over the Guadalquivir River until the mid-20th century. It is a short stroll from the Mezquita and part of the Historic Center of Cordoba World Heritage Site.

Walk across this bridge after the heat of the day has dissipated. Awesome views at dusk from every direction. This bridge, dating back to the 1st century BC, but since modified, repaired and restored, is really something special.

Amazing to see so many Roman structures still standing in Spain, this bridge being one of them.
Great walk and good views. Depending on the time of year you visit, bear in mind the heat!! Recommend visiting in the morning or at night, when the lighting makes it more spectacular!

Located behind the Mezquita, adjacent to Arco del Triunfo and spanning the Guadalquivir river Puente Romano (also called the Roman Bridge). If you are standing on the bridge you can take beautiful pictures of the Mezquita, especially in the evening when lit. It's also a very atmospheric place where many people take an evening stroll.
