I'm not one for group tours, but this one is great and should not be missed! The tour is in Spanish and takes you through a night time walking tour of some of the darker legends of the city. The tour takes about 2 hours. There are several types of tours that focus on different aspects of the city, my husband and I did the original tour. Our tour guide was Jorge and he was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. His energy level was high and kept us all intrigued. My husband was born and raised in the city and even he was amazed at how much he learned. Jorge added visuals to the tour by flashing photos and paintings onto the outside of the buildings, which added so much to the stories he was telling. The last place visited truly spooked us all. Not going to say more about it, as I don't want to spoil it. Cordoba Misteriosa has several books out and they have worked with a very popular Spanish television program on the paranormal. In other words, these folks are truly experts in the field and are very knowledgeable. While this is not a tour recommended for kids, they do have a kid friendly tour. I highly recommend taking one of their tours, we will definitely be signing up for another one next time we visit.

Cordova is a wonderful city, the pulsating heart of the Mediterranean because it gathers the whole Arab culture, Christian and Jewish ones. The night visit, made by an excellent guide and also a great storyteller, has allowed me to find out how much Cordova contains the roots of Mediterranean people and of the whole European culture.
