We saw information about nature walks and bird-watching in the Cordoba tourist office and got the web-site for the organisation which gives much more information about the range of activities on offer. We booked a two-hour bird-watching trip at 18.30 on a Saturday. Our guide arrived with binoculars for us, a large bird identification book and loads of knowledge and enthusiasm - as well as pretty good English! We began near the Roman bridge overlooking the Sotos de la Albolifia and then moved to a couple of other locations on the river bank. We were lucky to spot night herons, cattle egrets, yellow wagtails, serins, pied fly-catcher and even bee-eaters! The cost per person was only 5 euros and it seemed excellent value for money to us. We can thoroughly recommend it.
