Visiting the mosque cathedral with Ana was wonderful. Her expertise of the structure and its history was impressive and she made the experience interesting and entertaining. Most importantly her English was very good (which is not always the case). There were parts that felt rushed and would have wanted to know more about certain parts but understand that there are probably time constraints (not set by the guide) that need to be respected. If Ana is the caliber of guides Artencordoba have, I endorse them wholeheartedly.

We took a mezquita tour in cordoba with Anna. She kept us entertained for 1hr and 30min showing humour and knowledge. We understood much more about the attraction than we woild have if we went ourdelves, plus you can skip the queue that when you are tight on time is a great bonus

Went to see Medina Azahara at night. Beautiful and magic. I could only get the tour in Spanish because there is not enough request for English speaking tours at night. When the guide realized that my family was English speaking, he switched to English. Since it was just the four of us, it was like a private tour. The place is amazing at night. We got to see the orange moon over the city of Cordoba. Uneven pavement and needs better lighting, so wear confortable good walking shoes.

Was really looking forward to this tour but unfortunately a big disappointment. Our guide Maria tried very hard but this was her first tour speaking English and she really struggled. Tour interrupted by Maria constantly checking words on Google Translate or her script sheets. Why does a tour company advertise tours in English but send out a guide who cannot explain anything in detail?
My advice if booking with this company is to get a guarantee that the guide can speak the language selected and know more about the City

We did the free walking tour with Enrique. It was fabulous! It was our first morning in Cordoba, so we appreciated getting an introduction to the city, learning a little history, and getting a feel for the culture of this beautiful city. I highly recommend this tour as a first morning activity.

Our small group of six allowed for a less crowded and more personal feeling tour. Our guide Enrique had a very calm and engaging personality. There was a lot of interesting information shared. This was a great introduction to our three days in Cordoba. Our only issue would be that a couple of points of interest mentioned on the website were not included on the tour. For example plaza corredor which after visiting the alcazar on our own appears to be historically significant area and would have been interesting to visit and hear about from a local.

Booked a late afternoon Mezquita tour and a separate morning walking tour with them. They cancelled both on us last minute, so frankly we are unable to rate them as tour guides. Of course they said it was "circumstances beyond their control" but what else would they say? Just beware if you make plans with them, be sure to have back-ups. We had to scramble to make other arrangements, as we were in Cordoba for less than 24 hours. Very disappointing.

We went for the walking tour in English. We turned up at the scheduled time. We did see a guide but she was doing the tour in Spanish. She called he colleague but there was no response. We had no indication that the tour was not taking place. Indeed we got a reminder that we should be at the designated place 15 minutes beforehand- which we were. Very disappointing and totally unprofessional

This was a brilliant tour of an absolutely amazing place. The architecture, the history & beauty of this unique building are so fascinating. We booked our tour (via GetYourGuide app) whilst visiting Sevilla & booked return train tickets separately (via train line app). So glad we took a day trip out to Córdoba to see this one of a kind place. The tour was really good, I think our guide was called Saray, not sure if that's how to spell it, but she was such a good guide. Very knowledgeable, funny & really engaging to listen to. She has a real passion for this place and it made the tour one of our holiday highlights.

At times, I have difficulty evaluating the impartiality of TripAdvisor reviews due to not knowing who the reviewer is and their knowledge of travel. In response to my own stated concern, I hereby present my credentials to assist others in making an informed decision regarding the impartial veracity of my review.
I have globally traveled eight times per year for the past 28 years as a current 62-year-old Doctor, who has also attended law school. I am well-educated, and strongly feel that I am an excellent judge of character, a gentleman, kind, fair, patient, and take 100% responsibility for all my actions. I very rarely write negative reviews, except when the principles of decency and trust are violated along with a lack of empathy and denial of responsibility as an expression of greed.
My story... I booked a private tour with ArtenCordoba on 31 August 2016 for the date of 02 October 2016, for 146.60 Euros with a start time of 4:00 pm. The three hour tour was to include three components, that is, a tour of the Mezquita - Cathedral, Synagogue of Córdoba, and Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos. I depended on ArtenCordoba to organize the tour with knowledge and expertise, including any closing times of the requested historical sites.

On the day of the tour, when the two of us were led to two of the scheduled three tour sites (the Synagogue and Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos), they were closed. I requested verbally and in writing a refund of 50%, i.e., 50 euros. My logic was simple - I contracted for a specific set of services and such was not provided due to a lack of knowledge by the provider (Artencordoba) regarding the availability to contract for the requested tours. Further, the tour lasted only 1.5 hours (rather than 3 hours as contracted) as a result of the closures of the tour sites. I wrote directly to the English speaking wife of the owner and the person I originally contracted with, i.e., Pilar Ramirez, Director of Programming and Organization at ArtenCordoba. Her October 11, 2016, miserly email response to my partial refund request was to state that the price I paid was for the the guide + the tickets, not for the service of guiding us to the historical monuments! The guide was kind enough to refund 10 euros not used for the purchase of entry tickets.

Pilar Ramirez's response is nonsensical, lacks integrity, demonstrates greed, and lacks any empathy for the tourists' position. She further attempted to pass me on to her employee to discuss the concern. First of all, Pilar Ramirez is an owner of the company. She makes the decisions with her owner husband. The employee does not make refund decisions. The manipulative stall tactic is not appreciated.

Second, the obvious greed and dishonesty in her refusal to provide a partial refund is representative of how Pilar Ramirez and Artencordoba handle business in regards to necessary refunds when they are unable to provide the contracted services. Advance payment is required in cash, e.g., through PayPal, thus, inhibiting the impartial review by a credit card company.

You, the tourist, are at risk for such deceptive and dishonest practices. For example, if you, the reader, contract for 146 euros (service=100 and parts/tickets=46) with an auto repair shop to repair your car, you are employing the mechanic AND service that he/she will provide. When you return for your car on the specified day, the mechanic reports that he has only fixed one of three items because two of the three part shops were closed. He proceeds to refund 10 euros for the unpurchased parts and keeps the remainder because in the logic of the mechanic/Artencordoba, I employed a mechanic (guide), not a service. It does not matter if the work/service was completed or provided. Ridiculous!

This type of thinking is dishonest, greedy, and manipulative with a lack of empathy that the tourist has traveled thousands of miles and expended thousands of dollars in reliance of ArtenCordoba's and Pilar Ramirez's promise of services and expertise.

Adding insult to injury, Pilar Ramirez at ArtenCordoba denounced my complaints as the rants of a competitor attempting to destroy her business; denied the occurrence of what happened, made unacceptable excuses, and demonstrated stall tactics to avoid doing the right thing.

Overall, buyer beware!

Estimado Ronald. Juan A. Soto. Gerente.
